I was lukewarm on the 1st one, but so glad I continued on to this one. Truthfully they add probably too many characters, but the action does NOT STOP. And sets the 3rd book up very well.
Enne, Levi & Jack make new alliances to get out from under the thumb of The Donna. Vianca‘s scheming puts the main cast at odds. It expanded more on the politics, and the magic, which was was well represented in the 1st book but got more in depth as to “talents”
