#LittensDressedInBlood Today's prompt is Psycho Killer
Gretchen Lowell from Chelsea Cain's series was the first psycho killer to pop in my head for today's prompt. She's a female Hannibal Lector, brilliant, magnetic, attractive, kills for fun, although she's not a cannibal, so she's got that going for her.

Day 7: Red Cover
Love this series! #archiesheridanandgretchenlowellseries
#thriller
Yet another series I‘ve started but haven‘t completed... well I‘m hoping to at least get to Sweetheart this year! #top20series #20series20days
Black cat, a stack of fun fall books, and a cup of coffee in a Hocus Pocus mug from the wonderful @HufflepuffGirl90
I love having stuff around my house from Littens. It makes my heart so happy!
#blackcat #screamathonphotochallenge
I‘ve been a bit preoccupied by a certain fictional female assassin so I figured I‘d keep the fun going by reading about a female serial killer. This was particularly gruesome but the character development was really compelling. I‘ll definitely continue the series. #StartASeries Also this was my #GiftedtoYou pick for #booked2019. Thanks @eanderson !
I really liked this series featuring that rarity of things - a female serial killer. “She'll take your heart but you won't feel it” #easylover #anglophileapril @Cinfhen @Reviewsbylola @emilyhaldi @Mdargusch
A really gritty thriller that I just finished at work. I really enjoyed it and look forward to book 2. This story revolved around a man who had his world basically destroyed by a serial killer when he was taken while leading the task force to capture her. Now he is trying to catch another serial killer. I don't really know what to say to not give anything away. Thanks again @joscho for this #kindlitsy read!
Starting this ebook at work!
I got a new job and start in a couple weeks. I won't have as much time to read during work like I have now, but the extra money will be a good benefit.
Thank you @JoScho for the #kindlitsy book! I'm excited to read this, especially since it's one of your favorite series!
I have not received my #Christmasbookswap package yet and am about to head to my sister's until tomorrow night. If it comes today, I'll have to post when I get home tomorrow. Otherwise will post when it does arrive.
Merry Christmas Eve!
@JoScho thank you so much!! I have been busy making some final Christmas gifts and treats. This is a wonderful treat and it sounds really good. Right up my alley!! 🖤#kindlitsy
This is the first book in one of my favorite twisted serial killer series! Great price on it today 🖤
Wow... this was super disturbing and terrifying. It had a Silence of the Lambs vibe with a serial killer who gets into the heads of people including one specific detective that she has manipulated. This was really interesting in the way it was written and kept you guessing and engrossed all the way through. Another one down for #24b4monday
When reading serial killer novels, it's good to have a buddy nearby.
#2018Book96
This novel details the time Detective Archie Sheridan spent as a prisoner of Gretchen Lowell, a frighteningly calculating serial killer. It also follows Detective Sheridan and newspaper reporter, Susan, as they try to track down a new serial killer. As strange as it might sound, I thoroughly enjoyed this novel.
A bit graphic, maybe, but I have to ask: Would it even be possible to pull out someone‘s small intestine with a crochet hook? I‘ve never tried crocheting, but I‘ve seen the hooks and they don‘t really seem like they‘d be able to latch onto something as...slimy as intestines.
I made it! First year I did the whole 24 hours!
Damn this book was crazy! The relationship between Archie and Gretchen...you don't even know. Read this book.
Day 24 of #MarchMadness is #FastPaced
Going with Heartsick for fast paced. This was one of the first books that got me back into reading. It always comes to mind first.💔
Sorry for the late in the day challenge posts!
currently on a road trip❤️🛣
Have a great weekend!

Day 15 of #MarchMadness
Prompt: thrillers or crime novels that should be adapted.
This is my pick.
@josteele
I haven‘t seen any thriller based challenges - so I thought I‘d make one for #MarchMadness - I‘m pretty new to Litsy, so not sure if this is a thing that anyone can do, but for those who enjoy thrillers!! ❤️🖤📚

Day 14 of #riotgrams #Hearts For #ValentinesDay I chose something a little more on the dark side of love. #Heartsick by #ChelseaCain. The Archie Sheridan #series is one of my favorites. Very trippy & sinister relationship between Det. Archie Sheridan & serial killer Gretchen Lowell. Such a good #thriller! Happy Valentines Day! ❤️📚 #books #psychological #mystery #detective #intense #crime #novel #reading #litsy #pick #love
#riotgrams feb 14th: hearts
I know I already posted for the #riotgrams #hearts challenge but I just thought of these books! I love this series. There are six in total featuring a female serial killer and a twisted romance.
This is how I‘m getting a little reading in this morning before I have a client. Theo is a cuddle Pug in the morning and I love it! 😍 #pugsoflitsy
1) Northeastern Indiana!
2) Heartsick!
3) Skinny POP and Reece‘s
4) Just finished teaching class and now trying to get around for lunch with family.
5) More short stories
😀📚💕
#readathon #deweysreadathon
Theo decided it was time to get up and start this #deweysreadathon #readathon now! He was very insistent at 5:15 that he could no longer wait. 😂
My #stack for the #readathon tomorrow! It‘s super ambitious due to a lot going on tomorrow but I‘m hopeful in knocking out 2 short stories, at least one of the Walking Dead and putting a dent in Heartsick! #deweysreadathon
For anyone who's watched the Luther series, you're going to love this, because it's got a Luther-Alice entanglement that is both deranged and impossible to stop reading. Cain's narrative style is reminiscent of my own inner monologue, which is weird, because I've never met her. #Thriller #Procedural #Mystery
"Several teenagers, presumably fresh from extracurricular activities, loitered on the steps of the school, a nervous energy permeating their practiced insouciance."
I'm really identifying with the author's dry wit. Don't know if she can plot yet, but she can definitely write.
The writing here is excellent, and the story itself is good. This one is a little more domestic noir than whodunit, but the details are so psychological and twisty. #audiobooks
What fun! This was exactly the demented escapism I was looking for this weekend. Will probably follow up with the next one someday soon. (PS - It is VERY graphic - I mean, there's a serial killer, y'all - so approach with caution if you are sensitive to that kind of stuff.) 🖤🔪☠️
Afternoon reading. 🖤🔪☠️
I think this means the goat is enjoying it as much as me.
Thank you @Nuwanda !!! I am so excited about my #summersantagoespostal gifts! I have not read any of the books but they all sound right up my alley. I love everything! ❤️❤️ thank you @BookishMarginalia for setting this up
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book for fans of psychological suspense, it is truly a cant put down book has you addicted from first page to the last
#obsession #maybookflowers. So I may be a bit obsessed with the Raise-A-Reader booksale. At 7:00 am I was standing in line , the sale didn't start till 9:00am. I have booked my spring holidays around the booksale for the past two years. Saw these two books at the sale - a serial killer is obsessed with a detective- sounds fun
Listening to this audiobook while I do some chores around the house. The sooner I finish, the sooner I can fully enjoy my #litsypartyofone
PS this book is extra creepy to me because it's set where I live, and all the places they list, so far, are real. 😱🙅🛑😵🙀
This was on the line between so-so and a pick. The writing was great and the pacing of the action was excellent. I love the idea of a female serial killer controlling multiple storylines. I didn't like that I figured out the twists fairly early and assumed there was no way that I could be right since that ending was far too convenient and easy but then I was right. I'm debating moving on with the series for that reason. Anyone read the next one?
