It's 1PM. Finally completed my first hour, so reaching 24 isn't looking good, haha. On the bright side, I've read 3 chapters and a graphic novel, and all books have been great! #24in48 #readathon
Pumped and ready to get started on my #24in48 #readathon this weekend. Hopefully this TBR will be a winner!! @24in48
This book is an interesting reading experience. I almost missed my stop getting off the train last night, it was so engrossing. Looking forward to finishing it tonight! #ihavesomanyquestions
This is how I feel after finishing A Little Life. Any suggestions for recovery books?
This book is about a summer weekend vacation/wedding celebration, and I remember reading it during a heat wave, so it seemed like my best possible entry for the #SWEETSUMMERSTACK contest. Thanks @Liberty for the prompt! I haven't thought about this book in a long time.
Hi Litsy friends! Sorry I've been away for so long. Today I feel pretty crummy so I'm just cuddled up on the couch with this book and I think it's just what I needed - historical fiction/romance with a fantasy twist! So awesome.
Taking a quick study break to #dropeverythingandread. April has been a good reading month for me so far!
#aprilbookshowers
Spent a lot of time listening to audiobooks today - both Furiously Happy and Heartsick. Did a little more paper book reading once my errands were completed - made progress on A Little Life and finished Sookie Stackhouse book 8. Pretty happy with what I've read, and I'm still enjoying my #litsypartyofone! Tomorrow, I plan to bring out the treats.
#aprilbookshowers #samebookdifferentcover
I picked this example because I'm currently reading it - I was completely satisfied with the black and white US edition, until I saw the incredible UK edition!!
Reading progress update:
So far, I've finished All Together Dead and Phoebe and her Unicorn - both picks! Now I'm jumping into A Little Life - book 2, and hoping it won't get too sad before I fall asleep. #litsypartyofone #tobecontinued
Listening to this audiobook while I do some chores around the house. The sooner I finish, the sooner I can fully enjoy my #litsypartyofone
PS this book is extra creepy to me because it's set where I live, and all the places they list, so far, are real. 😱🙅🛑😵🙀
The first 3 that came to mind for the prompt #womenintranslation - I looked for more, but it seems that the majority of my books in translation are by men. I'm glad to notice this discrepancy, now I can try to fix it :)
#aprilbookshowers
Hmm, favorite sci-fi is so tough to narrow down! This has got to be in my top 3 though. It's almost as fun to describe to other people as Firefly.
#readathonblob #jesuitsinspace #preparetocry
A book with an animal in the title immediately reminded me of this beautiful story. Wasn't Jasper the best dog? #readathonanimal
Posting tomorrow's prompt early, since I'll be pretty busy the rest of this week. I think I have more books #publishedinthe1960s on my kindle, but found these on my shelves. Still need to read Bellow and Borowski. #aprilbookshowers
Day 5 - not a bad start! I'm not too far into this one, so we will see how it goes. #firstlineofcurrentread #aprilbookshowers
Catching up! Could only find wind and snow for #weather titles. Perhaps, as an Oregonian, I subconsciously avoid rainy books 😹 #aprilbookshowers
Two days late: My (possibly ambitious) #apriltbr. I will also have an unknown book to read for my postal book club, and a few short library reads coming in soon - mostly graphic novels and poetry. #aprilbookshowers
I read the first two books in this series yesterday. My neck was out of whack, so I was on the couch trying to stay comfortable, and visiting Bon Temps was an excellent way to pass the time. It also definitely qualifies as a hot setting. #bigyellowball
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - this book was remarkable. I stayed up reading until 1AM at the end of the week to see how it would end. From me, there is no higher praise. #readitnow #intenseandimportant #preparetocry
Feeling the pressure - I just realized that March is half over! While my TBR is halfway completed, I have nothing but long and/or difficult books left to read 😬 Time to either buckle down and focus....or go find a fun new paranormal romance to escape with, haha. #MarchTBR #loftygoals
Waking up slowly this morning with a graphic novel and some coffee. I'm really enjoying this- the premise, art style, and setting help it stand out from the pack. Also, I'm pretty sure I'm the first one to check out this copy, and that's fun too. #supercleanlibrarybooks
Need recommendations from my fellow Litsyans - which EPUB/PDF reader do you prefer? I need something for my laptop that runs Windows 10. Is Ice Cream still a thing? #needmorebooks
This book is breaking my heart. Might need to switch to some Calvin and Hobbes before I sleep tonight.
Reading in bed tonight because the doctor told me to! #wellokaythen #noproblemshere #betterdothistomorrowtoojustincase
What a beautiful poetry collection. I appreciated it even more after reading the excellent essay about the authors connection to the subject. Definitely want to read more of her prose as well. #bellhooksisatreasure
I forgot to take a picture of this book before returning it to the library, oops! Book #4 is just as entertaining as the first. I get the impression that Phryne doesn't change much throughout this series, but that's ok because she is awesome. Also, recommendations needed: should I watch the show, or will it spoil the books? #girlpower #internationalwomensday
#riotgrams day 24- Since I'm awake after midnight, here's my #rainbowbookstack as well :)
#riotgrams day 23 - Most of my #funnybooks have already been posted, but then I remembered the Series of Unfortunate Events, and The Phantom Tollbooth! Both are excellent examples of the type of wordplay that makes me giggle as I read.
#riotgrams day 22 - Getting this #bookface shot in with less than 20 minutes to midnight. These are hard!
This is a tricky one. I think Lauren Groff wrote an amazing story, but my dislike for the Lotto-focused portion of the book makes this a So-so instead of a whole-hearted pick. The second half was a solid 5 stars, however, and I will be reading more from this author. #teammathilde

I can't believe I made it this far into the challenge! This boxed set of 2666 immediately popped into my head when I saw that today's category was #coolspines. I really really love it! I'm a little intimidated by the thought of reading it, however. #seriousbooks #maybesomeday
#riotgrams day 20
I'm not a person that often buys beautiful hardcovers/books as art objects, and I certainly don't have a track record for keeping them in pristine condition, so I was at a bit of a loss thinking about today's prompt. But, continuing with the Stephen King theme, here is a back cover that I felt compelled to buy. #favoritecover
Posting my #riotgrams a bit early today so I don't forget it altogether. Stephen King has written a lot of dedications over the years, but I particularly liked this one. #greatdedication #themagicexists
#riotgrams day 18-
The nature park is where I do some of my best reading via audiobook. The rest of the time I'm usually here thinking about books. Even in winter, I think it's #somethingpretty.
#funfridayphoto and #riotgrams day 17 - Tonight I'm wrapping up some birthday gifts for a bookish friend. Can't wait to deliver them tomorrow! #freebie #thankspowells #powellshaseverything #andimeaneverything
The ice cream I made last night was so good, I decided to repeat the experience today, along with another fun book. #steampowered #sassyheroine #startingtheweekendearly
#riotgrams day 16 - My favorite #bookmark also doubles as a line/passage marker. Book darts are amazing! I'm going to need several more tins of these.
This was a really fun, humorous, and quick read during my lunch break earlier today. I would love to see it in movie form! Looking forward to reading more of Adrienne and Bedelia's adventures.
#riotgrams day 15 -
Homemade (and rapidly melting) chocolate ice cream and a book about bookstores were the best #bookishtreats that came to mind.
#riotgrams day 14 calls for #kissingbooks. Here are some of mine getting comfortable in front of the fireplace. My kindle holds many more titles. Thanks to Smart Bitches podcast, @bookriot and @SarahKat84 for all the recs!
#riotgrams day 13 made me realize I have many pink spines that do not cross over onto #pinkcovers. Here is my much-smaller-than-anticipated pile.
#riotgrams day 12 -
I am trying to take a picture of this spot near my house at least twice per month during 2017, to watch the seasons change it. Here is today's photo, accompanied by my audiobook of Fates and Furies. #outside
Continuing the #litsypartyofone into Saturday! So grateful that I can relax this weekend. I'm enjoying this book; after watching the SyFy show, I was worried that I would know all the spoilers, but really, the tone and pacing are so different that it's hard to compare them.
#riotgrams day 11:
The Little Miss and Little Mr. series were always a hit with me. I think my favorite was Little Miss Chatterbox, though I seem to have lost that one :/. It might be time to look into getting one of those boxed sets!
#riotgrams day 10:
I normally read #comics via my local library, so I when I got to my shelves, I was a bit surprised to see that I owned a smallish pile, but a pile nonetheless! I think Nimona and the amazing Locke & Key series are my favorites so far. Sorry I haven't purchased the latter yet @joe_hill - it will happen eventually!
#riotgrams for day 9 asks for a character or author with my name. Here is one on my TBR, a few more in the comments.
