I can‘t think of a more tainted love than this one. I have read just about all the Wallis Simpson books and have come to the conclusion The King was obsessed with this woman and she really didn‘t think he was anything but a meal ticket to the Royal fun. Changing world history and events (likely for the better) rather tainted the Royals for a bit.

I listened to this on audio, and was very annoyed with the narrator. It wasn‘t until I was almost finished, that I realized the speed was on slow! Besides that, I just found much of it too unbelievable, and not really surprised at the reveals,except for the end. Anna Fox was an #easylover. When intoxicated with wine,she and her tenant hooked up. #anglophileapril

He had a lot of connections in the Vatican and owned a travel agency called Holy Pilgrimage. He was constantly throwing out money and liked to show off his wealth (which is shocking in and of itself—how can you have so much money with 13 kids to feed.) 😂 @AlaMich 6y
