An interesting examination of workplace and school mass shootings throughout the 80s and 90s. Far from being "senseless" and "unexplainable", the book makes a compelling case that the parallel increase in shootings and rise of Reaganomics are not coincidental but concomitant, with the gutting of the social safety net and division of the populace into "winners" and "losers", that practically codified bullying into the national character.

Went to the post office for the first time in 3 months all suited up in gloves and mask - and the postal worker asked me if I wanted to mail it media mail since it was just a book! I declined lol!

Ames traces the similarities between pre civil war slave rebellions in the US and the rage murders of the post Reagan era that have proliferated in US workplaces and schools. Instead of the usual scapegoats of guns and violence in media, he posits that perhaps the institutions where these take place are themselves to blame. In other words, perhaps the nasty, hateful, toxic culture of American offices, factories and schools breed despair and rage.

Since my local postal worker so rudely informed me that I could not take a photo of my #FallingForFallSwap box inside the building I‘m offering this as notice that the package is on it‘s way and should arrive by Monday.

I was truly not aware of the rule (I‘ve taken pics before with no issue) and am totally fine with abiding by it but she did not have to be so rude and abrasive at 7:45 am in the morning. 🤬

Lots of #Jb mail went out today finally!!!! And I have about five or more others that are almost ready to go out later today or tomorrow. I really enjoy and cherish this group! It‘s nice to truly get to know people and not only be “virtual” friends but to be life friends!!!! And getting handwritten notes is a lost art now adays so it‘s fun to see everyone‘s letters!!! Hope y‘all are having a great day and staying cool!!! ❤️❤️

The people at the UPS store have figured out that I‘m a huge book nerd. I‘m there way too often for my own good. I have a backlog of packages that I‘ve been meaning to send to special Littens and I finally got there 2 days ago to send out the 2nd wave which was 7 packages. I‘m hoping to get the rest out soon and not to get all the way to the 5th wave 😝 (see what I did there!) Be on the lookout everyone!

I don‘t know how involved it would be to coordinate, and I don‘t have a lot of time with everything I have on my plate.
