Starting this one on kindle today- I‘m a bit behind the curve haha.

Yay! Woke up to an email this morning saying that my very first production/narration has been approved by the author and will be sold within the month on audio platforms! One down, so many more to go!
This is a 🌶🌶 one- a reverse harem series focusing on our girl Jules and her need to make money to open a bakery. Things don‘t always go as planned, though, do they? 😛

So a new venture I‘ve undertaken is my absolute DREAM JOB of becoming an audiobook narrator. I LOVE this job! I‘m currently recording this thriller. It is amazing. I‘m so excited to bring Meghan McNamara to life. 🎉

Okay it‘s been literal years since I‘ve seen my friends here. I‘m so sorry! I had some very very crazy times and am finally finding my voice and self again. I‘ve missed you all! I can‘t wait to interact with everyone, and I accept any and all punishments for stepping away from your lives. 😉 I am back!

I‘ve been listening to this one. I have mixed feelings about it for two reasons- 1. I DO homeschool my kids, and my biggest fear is that I am not teaching or doing enough (even though my children are very well-rounded individuals) and 2. I am a childhood abuse survivor. Everything she is talking about, the excuses, the self-blame, I have been there. And it is making me so angry. She is a great storyteller, I‘m just so angry.

Okay, so it took me a while to get into this one. It just started slow for me, I wasn‘t interested in any of the characters. About halfway through I really hit my stride. It is beautifully writt n, with wonderful words and storytelling, and for that, and the finale of the book, I give it a pick and 3.5 stars.

I listened to this one on audio, and the narrator wasn‘t my favorite. That said- wow. What an incredibly detailed look into the goings on of a serial rapist and murderer, first dubbed the East Area Rapist and then coined the Golden State Killer by the author. Her research on this vile man is so in depth, and very chilling. It‘s sad she died before he was caught, but the book is really interesting. #litsyatoz #letteri

Whew! My first read of the year is complete! I give it 4.5 stars; I liked the first in the series better, but this one still made me cry and make my hair stand up on end.
After a globe-shattering virus killed most of the population, The One is finally ready to start her training. She must choose to be the light, to fight the Dark Uncanny of the World, while still convincing others to take up the sword with her. The end... that got me.

We haven‘t been to the library for a couple of weeks, and I was soooo missing it! I‘m only picking one up for myself, and this one fits into my much needed V space in #litsyatoz so, bonus! Love library days!!

One of my bookish resolutions of the year is to read simply because I want to. In the past, I felt like I had to earn the right to read: the House has to be cleaned, the laundry done, the kids settled, etc. Now, I‘m going to read simply because I deserve the joy it brings me. ESPECIALLY considering my husband is deploying and I have to go everything alone. I deserve to read because I love to. ❤️

I adored this slight parody of gothic romance from the queen Jane Austen herself. Catherine Moreland, our heroine, was so sweetly naive and honest about all things in her life, even if she might stick her foot in her mouth. The female friendships formed in the book are wonderful as well. Loved!!

@Cinfhen here is the recipe I use! I do it in my stand mixer, and I use walnuts instead of peanuts. Also, I roll my baked balls in the powdered sugar immediately after taking them out of the oven. Enjoy!

Oh my gosh, I LOVED this book!! This audio was read by the author himself, and the stories he tells about these Norse gods are full of humor, tragedy, trickery, and hope. Please recommend your favorite Neil Gaiman book for me to read or listen to next!!

I love historical fiction, and I‘m also slightly obsessed by the British Monarchy. This book weaves a glorious tale about two women who rocked the traditions of the Crown, Wallis and Diana, and how they were connected, in a way. Longer than it needed to be, but told a really good story, and now I want to know all the things about Wallis Simpson.

I think Elin just gets better and freaking better with every book. I LOVED the start to this new trilogy, set in USVI St. John instead of the usual Nantucket. A wife finds out that her life just may not be what she thought when she gets the shocking phone call that tells her that her husband is dead. ❤️❤️
