thebluestocking @Ruthiella There are so many books, I had to go back and look! Our most controversial book was The Actor and the Housewife (great discussion). Some of my favorite books we‘ve read include The Thief, Summerlost, and The Count of Monte Cristo. 💙 5y

thebluestocking @mrp27 I‘ve had book clubs come and go too. I‘m not positive what makes this one last. I think it‘s probably the leader. It is always at her house, she always does the treats, she brings in new friends regularly, and she makes sure we read a wide variety of books. I think book club magic is hard to find, and even within this one it ebbs and flows. 💙 5y

Then he gave me a copy of The Master and Margarita, a title he has recommended to me more than once. So it‘s interesting that both titles show up in this list! 6y

Elma @monalyisha I'm currently doing Keto, so my snacks are pretty limited. I'm good with sugar free chocolate, as long as people can find it. Our local Kroger sells it with their organic chocolate, but I'm not sure about other places. 6y

Elma @MirrorMask I'm not a huge fan of coconut flakes (although I like coconut flavor) or nuts. I love caramel and peanut butter in my chocolate though. 6y

ShookBelf @jhod I haven't read The Outsider yet - it is sitting patiently on my TBR pile - but from what other people have said it's a fantastic book. I really like Stephen King but I don't necessarily think his books are horror - more chiller/suspense/supernatural. 7y

What is Litsy mark up postal book club? I keep seeing it mentioned

mklong @suvata came up with this fun idea and organized groups of four where everyone chooses a book and makes notes while reading, every month you pass the book you have to the next person on the list, and so on, until you get your original book back. Follow her if you want more details about when sign ups are open. 7y
