Taking a refresher course in adulting.
“One of the most jolting days of adulthood comes the first time you run out of toilet paper. Toilet paper, up until this point, always just existed. And now it's a finite resource, constantly in danger of extinction, that must be carefully tracked and monitored, like pandas?”

Hubby and I decided to have stay-in date night! We are getting through this! #quaranread #quarantine #covid_19 #keeplitsypositive
I heard good things about this book so I was excited for the humor of it, but I feel like I was way too old to be reading it. Many of the tips were obvious to me or not useful...I‘m in a different stage of life. I found some humor in the beginning, but by the middle and end I found myself skimming. HOWEVER!! I feel this would‘ve been a really useful/interesting/informative/enjoyable book if I had read this around the time I was in college!
#songsofsummer #schoolsout @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @OriginalCyn620 This prompt made me think of graduating - and all the panic that comes with it! These are some books to help you deal with that time when school‘s out for good.
And last, Austin Powers yells Yeah Baby! for reading as we have section 6 of the Birth and Beyond Reading Challenge. Also known as everything else.

I look forward to having littens join in. Sign ups will begin in June. As always, have any questions, just ask.
1. Getting to build a life with my hubby 💚💜
2. Dishes! I loathe washing dishes! Good thing we finally have a dishwasher! 👏🏻
3. The freedom and being so blissfully happy playing with my siblings. And getting to use my imagination so endlessly.
4. In college it was at a daycare. Out of college was a Vet Tech
5. Treat people and animals with kindness and patience always. They taught me to be very loving and to trust my instincts.
1) I can buy junk food, stay up late, & I don't need to answer to anyone (at least at home).
2) Dishes
3) Not paying bills, family camping trips, & recess.
4) Working at Subway
5) Probably the importance of self-care: you need to take care of yourself to be able to care for others.

This made me laugh! Starting out my #24B4Monday early today because I can‘t sleep 😴 @Andrew65 @TheReadingMermaid
This is the worst! I‘m such an organizer and planner that when we host something I need to know if you will be there or not. This just happened where I had to keep asking someone to let me know if they were able to make it. If you get invited to something be polite and say yes or no as soon as possible!
When you can‘t sleep...read! I‘m finding this book humorous so far, but also a little boring. If I was fresh out of high school or college it would be a lot more applicable to me, but there aren‘t really any new “tips” so far once you‘ve lived in the world a bit...at least it is entertaining!
Accurate! I recently started sorting through all of our items in preparation for the move and this is indeed a time consuming process!! Love the cleverly worded tips in this moving section 🤣
I only got one book for Christmas this year (since I told my parents to not get me anything it was more than expected). I am blessed to have amazingly generous family and have a bit of “extra” money. I‘m torn as to being an adult and putting all of it toward a bill/saving it or spending whatever I want on books/bookish things and then whatever is left bill/save. #bookloverproblems
This book was not for me at almost 40 years old, but I would have loved to have read this in my early 20s. Great suggestions and easy to read, plus the narrator was terrific!
NOT BOOK RELATED but my friend sent this to me and I thought it was too funny not to share...
Nothing better than a bath and a good book! #advancedadulting #lushlife
I don't know about all of you, but this week has hit me like a train. Followed by a bus. And then a dump truck.
But here's my antidote to all the bullshit: NEW BOOKS. 📚📚📚 And the people who love them. So thanks for being my safe haven this week, Litsy. 💕
And now I'm crawling back into my blanket fort. ⛺️ Feel free to join me.

How to be a Bookworm and Adult at the same time. Lol. This way, I get my chores done and my book finished today! Lol. #reading #bookworm #adulting #chores P.S. ignore my amateur bullet journaling skills. Lol.
Or you don‘t even get to pick up your book...Every day I think: “I‘m going to have time to read in the morning before work,” and/or “I‘m going to have time to read in the afternoon after work.” Every day it seems adulting gets in the way of my plans.
This is the best advice ever. 😂

I am so not the target market for this book. For some reason, I thought it was more of a humorous memoir? Nope. Not so much.
Step 1: Accept that you are not special
This is the most difficult and important thing to accept if you wish to be a grown-up: You are not a Special Snowflake.
@BookishMarginalia where did you get this note pad?! It has truly become my favorite thing out of the boxes you sent!
Wondering is fudge an appropriate breakfast for a grown woman - the packet that came in my #summersantgoespostal packet from @DeborahSmall looks to good to wait til dinner time!!
Had to stop and get a last minute graduation gift
Yeah this is so true. I feel like I've been blind sighted today. I was just told that my grandfather has complete renal failure. We may be able to get him home on hospice and make it six months. This is on top of my dad already being on hospice at my house with terminal brain cancer. Yeah I'm not up for adulting. 😭
This note in a library book cracked me up. I won't lose your spot, Kane! :)
I only feel kinda bad I put a hold on this which is probably forced Kane to turn this book early. But I missed an Modern Mrs. Darcy Kindle sale the other week and this intrigued me. This discussion questions are hilarious and I'm thinking what a fun book this would be to go through as a book club. Unconventional, maybe, but I'm guessing it would make for good discussion.
This was her debut writing, and absolutely a grand entrance into the world of books. Already an experienced writer, she has an exemplary turn off phrase, sense of humor, and outstanding advice for all those adventuring out on their own.
I like this chart better than the "all snakes can swim" chart.
Because at some point I should probably learn more about #adulting - bought my house over a decade ago. Still not proficient at life. 😅
On page 10 she casually drops the fact that ALL SNAKES CAN SWIM as a humorous concern. WHICH IS TERRIFYING. The fact that this is my key takeaway thus far means I really do need help adulting.
#TBRtemptation post! A humorous guide to succeeding on your own, from a compilation of articles on her daily blog. What to look for when renting an apartment, how to avoid starting office romances, finding a great mechanic, how to fix a toilet, cooking tips, breaking things off with frenemies, balancing a busy schedule, etc., etc. This became a big hit for a reason, so check it out 😊. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
😂
This book is appropriate as I struggle to find a new roommate. 💀💀💀 (If anyone in Greenville, SC needs a place...)
...if there are washer-dryer hookups, do not kid yourself into thinking you're actually going to buy a washer-dryer unless you are so grown-up as to be way beyond this book.
First book of the year!
