Such a fun read… I can‘t count how many times I laughed out loud! I can‘t wait to discuss it with my book club!

Its been a while since I read a book that made me laugh out loud, this book is hilarious, I loved so much about this.

I wasn‘t expecting great things from this, to be honest. I got it on Kindle Unlimited as an easy audiobook listen while I‘m at work. It‘s not great literature, it has many flaws, but it definitely is fun!

This was a surprisingly fun read. It was light and quick. I thought it was going to be super cheesy, but it was actually clever and funny. Not a lot of depth, but I wasn‘t expecting and didn‘t need it. Being from San Diego, I especially enjoyed the San Diego references. They were spot on. I think if you were expecting something more complex you might be disappointed.

This has been on my tbr radar for a long time. But then so are hundreds of others...never ending.

My third and final #MakeMeReadIt book was complete fluff. 3.5 stars for making me suspend my disbelief for a few hours!

Lighthearted and laugh out loud funny at times, this book is filled with stereotypical women of The Real Housewives variety. That being said, it's also an entertaining read that explores female friendships, family bonds, and how far we'll go to take care of the people that we love.

I literally LOL‘d throughout book. It‘s the perfect beach read. As mentioned in my last post, I love that each chapter connects to a book that relates to a character‘s current situation. I‘ve added to my TBR, but also pleased knew most references from my reading over the years. The concept feels like chicklit, but it has more to it as it deals with autism, finance & class issues. It‘s witty & brings depth to a story you wouldn‘t expect.

I finished a good chunk of this chick-lit on the plane this morning, and I‘m loving it! There‘s so much drama, but it is well-written and entertaining. Also love that each chapter connects to a book that the character has read and relates to their current situation. I‘m going to be adding a ton to my TBR when I‘m done. Going to get more done by this gorgeous pool (yay business trips!). And yes those are giant birds swimming in it, haha.

I‘m going to switch it up and listen to something lighter for a while.

This was cute. Picture The Real Housewives of La Jolla having a book club that 2 outsiders infiltrate trying to make some money. This was fun, easy breezy, and at times touching. It goes by quick with short chapters focusing on different characters. Each chapter is introduced with a short paragraph on a book read by that character and how it relates to them. An entertaining piece of Chick Lit.

I completely forgot that I could open this package at midnight, so I was so excited when it caught my eye as I climbed into bed. Thanks so much, @Kshakal !! I love absolutely EVERYTHING!! I'm just blown away by your generosity. I'm so excited to have some flavored hot chocolate, sea salt caramel chocolates, and light my "by the fire" candle while wearing my fuzzy socks as I read my two new books!! The scarf is also so adorable!! I'm so happy!!

I strongly recommend the #audiobook version of this fun and snarky take on the modern Robin Hood tale: when BFFs need money to fund IVF treatments and occupational therapy for an autistic child, they concoct a scheme to sell ultra expensive face cream to the bored ultra-wealthy housewives of La Jolla, California. #KatherineKellgren is a perfect narrator for this; her voices, inflections, and intonations really add to the experience. A fun 5⭐️

I'm sitting in an airport in Charlotte, waiting for my connecting flight. I was going to start reading this book but the spelling snob in me can't get past this. . .

I came across this one while visiting the Amazon Bookstore for the first time today, and it looks hilarious. I didn't buy it, but I think I might have to go back and do that after I get through more of my TBR. It's sad but I know the these type of characters in this book. Set against the affluent community of La Jolla, California, two friends in a financial bind concoct a plan to sell expensive face cream to the rich members of their gossipy book club. The only problem is that they use illegal ingredients. Think Big Little Lies as a comedy. A fun, light read!

This was NOT a cozy mystery like I thought. It was a silly, sly, madcap plan to make money off vain, rich California socialites. Cute palate cleanser. Book 1 of #LitsyPartyofOne and another off my #Litsytbr for Kindle.

This was a kindle first pick a few months ago. Sounded really interesting. I liked it but the story had much more potential. A light read on a rainy day.

‼️NEED OPINIONS‼️ I can't decide if I want to read this. It has mixed reviews, but the plot sounds interesting. Has anyone read this, and if so, what did you like and/or not like about it? All opinions are welcome and appreciated. 👍🏽👎🏼

This was a Kindle First pick chosen for the premise and the fact that a book club was supposedly involved (and maybe for the cover). I read it through but it never really made it to "great" for me. I didn't feel hugely invested in the main characters, the main plot point of the book seemed too far-fetched, and there wasn't enough book club in the story! The feature I liked best was the book-referencing blurb at the start of each chapter.

Yuk! All the characters were yuk from the spoiled rich bitches to the idiot broads who decided to scam those rich bitches out of $1000s. Not to mention the stupidity of what was actually going into the formula. Sorry, had to bail, this one just wasn't doing it for me.

I found this on my Kindle. Not sure where it came from but maybe a #kindlefirst from a month or so ago? I started it yesterday and I think it might be okay.

This one is cracking me up!

Not very deep, but an enjoyable read that took me one day to finish. There's the main characters Sarah and Annie, best friends who swindle wealthy women from a book club and their friends by selling them a "magical" face cream. This is to help pay for intervention therapy for Annie's son Oscar who has autism. Funny book but not at the expense at Oscar-- more at the "victims". If anyone asks me for a "beach read" rec, it'd be this ?. More?

Having a barleywine ale for my #litsyPartyofOne drink. Relaxing under my warm blanket while reading this. You know this book is unputdownable when you start it in the morning and already on chapter 30!

I'm liking this kindle first free e-book so far, more than I thought I would. I like the bookish references throughout. I could have written the beginning of chapter 7 myself, that was us about 20 years ago with our oldest son, except that we couldn't get insurance to cover anything. I'm actually rooting for Annie and her friend Sarah as they plot a way to make money off of the rich ladies of La Jolla.

Looks like a fun easy breezy read! And it's a free Kindle download with Amazon Prime! #couldntresist

#KindleFirstBook I was torn between this one and Paper Boats. I went with this one because it has "book club" in the title and it seems like it could be funny. Still going to put Paper Boats on the TBR though.
