Very early morning start- been home due to a bout of bronchitis. In between rest & sleep, I am reading, reading. What do others do when sick at home if not a reader? School is closed this coming Monday & Tuesday for Presidents‘ day, which is a healing bonus. Enjoying this non demanding cozy read. #readyourkindle

This resolved everything from the last book, which I was happy about, but I didn‘t expect to be so absolutely blown away - this is my favorite of the series thus far. I love Gamache, but I also like that despite his kindness, his brilliance, he is human and makes mistakes. It showed a whole different side of him and now I love him even more ♥️ #readyourkindle

dabbe I can't wait! 🤩 3d
Susanita This is my favorite of the series too. She describes the cold so well, I needed an extra blanket sometimes. 3d

#readyourkindle #VictorianHistoricalMyrderMystery #SeriesLove 2025 #1 This book kept me engrossed & fascinated, not only for its intricate plot, but also for its historical details about Victorian life & the mythology surrounding ravens at the Tower of London.Centuries-old superstitions insisted that if the ravens at the tower are lost or fly away, the crown will fall along Britain. The vicious murder of one of the Yeoman Warblers, tasked with the🔽

I do like a small town novel and this was no exception. I liked hearing the perspectives of each other and of events through both Amy & Isabelle. It was a very slow start (almost bailed) and it wasn‘t until the halfway point that I really got invested but the second half unfolded perfectly. Loved the backdrop of characters, how we get to hear Isabelle‘s story and see her opening up and the mother/daughter relationship. #readyourkindle

squirrelbrain Great review! That cake looks 😋 yummy! 7d

sarahbarnes I‘ve loved every Strout book I‘ve read and haven‘t gotten to this one yet. I‘m listening to Anything is Possible right now. That cake looks like it involves pistachios, which I love - so delicious! 6d

(2013) it's exactly what the title promises. Most of the stories are extremely short, just long enough to set up an idea but not long enough to do anything with it. They're fine, and a couple of the stories I'd like to have seen at greater length, but mostly I'm just happy to be able to mark off a #ReadYourKindle pick.

Yay for my February #readyourkindle choices. I‘ve had some of these on my kindle for a while. The #20 choice was a NetGalley read so I chose the one that is due soonest. Thanks @TheAromaofBooks

rwmg Two excellent authors I see there: Aliette de Bodard, who really deserves to be better known, and Martha Wells. 2w
TheAromaofBooks Yay!! However, this challenge is actually hosted by @CBee !!! 😁 2w

Because of this challenge I have less than 10 unread kindle books. Lots of holds on Libby, but some will take ages. Thanks @CBee !!! That is why I covered the numbers. 😀 #readyourkindle #february

CBee That‘s excellent! So happy to hear it 😊 2w
