Lincoln Rhyme was awesome main character! I loved how a man who was physically and emotionally shattered led imvestigations and it was so amazing to follow that. Secondary characters were amazing too, I loved the group dynamics overall.
I adored how history of New York was involved and I loved to learn all those little details. Pacing was really good too and everything went forward really smoothly.
#SeriesLove23 #TBRtarot (one word title - FIN)
I've never seen the show, so I was able to go in blind. While certain things about the investigation felt dated, I can give it a pass since the book was first released in 1998 😂
Overall pretty good and I'll likely give the next book in the series a go! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Day 2 of #12BooksOf2022
Lincoln Rhyme is a quadriplegic forensic criminalist. And he is about to be dragged into one of the most dangerous and horrible cases of his long career. He is the only one who can stop the killer, dubbed The Bone Collector.
Loved the criminal procedure in this one.
@Andrew65
Very first Deaver. Thoroughly enjoyed. Time to find the movie!!
Book 17 off 52 book goal (book a week aim)
Finally found a book app that does all in one i loads apps and now time consuming filling all in 🤦♀️🤣 such a book geek sorry not sorry 🤣🤷🏻♀️
#WrapUp for February:
Pretty happy with my reading progress of this month.
9 Books 📚 which I mostly all liked; with the exception of Black Butterfly
O and I LOVED The Bone Collector 🤩
I found a new author (Deaver) that I'm totally investing my entire paycheck on this month 😜
WOW Feb was a great month for me !
Finished my #BookSpin (The Bone Collector), my #DoubleSpin (The Shining Girls) and read another 5 books on my #BookSpinBingo board.
I even managed to get a BINGO 🎉
@TheAromaofBooks
I was constantly refreshing Litsy to get the #BookSpinBingo numbers ...
So excited to start
#BookSpin - The Bone Collector
#DoubleSpin - The Shining Girls
@TheAromaofBooks
1. The Bone Collector at 528 pgs.
2. Yes I do. I have some good ones on my tbr but tend to choose shorter ones thinking I could possibly whittle down my list. 😐. Very unrealistic of me.
Thanks for the tag @Eggs.
@TheSpineView #Two4Tuesday
I tag @NataliePatalie.
Oh yeah. The 15th book came out and reminded me to finish reading these
1. Mysteries and thrillers
2. Life As We Knew It, and The Bone Collector. I find dystopia/apocalyptic books scary.
#Two4Tuesday @TheSpineView
Rainbow on my book the other day 🌈
Happy Friday!!
Today‘s #LittensDressedinBlood prompt - Thriller
One of my favorites, I read a bunch of this series in college.
Damn. Just damn. This author can write.
Read for my movie/book club.
For years, the tagged book (Lincoln Rhyme #1) sat lingering on the shelf. About a month ago, I finally cracked the cover. I‘m getting closer and closer to the ending, chipping away piece by (forensic) piece, and loving the ride with Rhyme & Sachs. I love all things investigation and forensics and I‘m actually learning stuff as well. My first Jeffery Deaver and I‘m eyeing his backlist for sure!!
#currentlyreading #fiction #novels #bookseries
Going to try and read this again. The first attempt just failed due to "oh look a shiny thing" syndrome and I read other stuff haha.
Finished flowers for algernon. Still a very emotional experience. Thought I'd read something more fitting for the season. @hannah-leeloo
Day 10 - #ForestGreenCover #FallFinds
#TheBoneCollector #JefferyDeaver
I need to watch this TV series.
Loved it. Just finished it while in bed. (Here‘s hoping there are no nightmares 😜). During quarantine it seems I can only concentrate on thrillers and mysteries.
Laundry day. I actually find doing the laundry very relaxing. Are any of my KC littens feeling bad today( or all weekend)? This weather is giving me a terrible headache!
I started reading this last night. Creepy as hell. It‘s been so long since I have read a book I couldn‘t put down. I just yelped “nope!” out loud.
And now that I have finished the book I can finally watch the movie. One good thing about libraries being closed is all due dates have been extended otherwise this would be way way overdue. Who knows, maybe I will even start to check out the tv show. 😜🤔

Falling into a mystery/suspense is a great way to just forget about your problems because for awhile you are instead worried about someone else's 🤔
Some exciting book mail to keep me busy in the upcoming weeks!
3-12-20: My 21st finished book of 2020! Gruesome, fast paced and well written. I guess I have a new series! #thebonecollector #jefferydeaver 🌟🌟🌟🌟 👍🏼📖#️⃣2️⃣1️⃣
3-1-20: I won a copy of The Bone Collector on Goodreads!!! 🎊👏🏼🔪 🦴 #thebonecollector #jeffreydeaver 📖👍🏼
This narrator is terrible. I found out after I returned the book that another narrator did this title as well as several other titles in the series! I wish I‘d known this before subjecting myself to this guy 😂
I've had this on my to read list since June 2017. Decided today was a good day to start it. 😂
Totally forgot to post about finishing this one! I enjoyed it, but not really my normal reading choice (too much creepy). Not on team theme for the #Scarathlon #TeamStoker @TheReadingMermaid @Clwojick BUT this does complete my #ScaryScavengerHunt, with “Bone in the title” and “that scares me”! 13/13 woot!
Day 23 of #ChillingPhotoChallenge is Bones. I want this wreath so badly for my front door.
#Scarathlon #teamslaughter @clwojick
What a nice long weekend visiting my parents, the new Russian River Brewery location in my home town and a reading this creepy-a** book! Almost done you guys, probably finishing tonight!! PS: yes that is a tiny skull shot glass full of Beer 🍻 #Scarathlon #TeamStoker @TheReadingMermaid @Clwojick
The bone collector. It was better than the movie, so much more detail in the clues and evidence. It counts as shocking twist for #bookishbingo and a book with bone in the title for #ScaryScavengerHunt
#Scarathlon #TeamSlaughter @Clwojick
"If they were expected,” she shot back, “then they wouldn‘t be breakthroughs, now would they?"
The Bone Collector
#Scarathlon #TeamSlaughter @Clwojick
When I have a flare up, I lay on the ground with my legs up. My puppy thinks it's funny but whatever. If it works, who cares 😁
#Scarathlon #TeamSlaughter @Clwojick
I loved this movie as a kid so I'm hoping the book is better. That usually is the case.
#scarathlon #teamslaughter @Clwojick
The twists and turns in this book were not what I expected at all, the characters and settings are so well described you can close your eyes and picture yourself watching them, seeing exactly what they are doing.
I absolutely love Jeffery Deaver, his writing style just keeps you hooked and makes you think of the book even when you aren't reading it.
Rhyme is a paraplegic ex-detective toying with the idea of suicide when he is dragged into a serial killer case. He and sidekick Amelia Sachs are interesting characters and this is a pretty well-written thriller. I had a few issues with the motivation of the villain, who is never really given the space to spring into life, and there's a bit too much peering into microscopes for my taste. OK but not great.
I read The Burial Hour a few months ago and loved it. So now it is time for me to start at the beginning with Lincoln Rhyme.
I‘m a big believer in book vs film. I like to see all sides. Currently reading two, this one, #thebonecollector is not unlike #lordoftherings where it has an interesting story but things get lost in too much unnecessary detail, like before that orc battle in the middle of #thetwotowers and #tolkien describes, in excruciating detail how each blade of grass feels about the upcoming battle. It can get annoying at parts but overall very good
This is a great book and a great film - Denzel Washington And Angelina Jolie at their very best. This is the first book in he Lincoln Rhyme Series, yet still to read book 2. I really do need to address this! Too many books too little time!
#BlackCatChallenge #Bones
This book is definitely better than the movie! I rarely re-read books and re-watch movies but I'm willing to take another look at the movie to better remember what was changed. I will pay more attention to the end as the book seemed rushed at the end but I don't believe that is the case with the movie.
Jeffrey Deaver had a subtle rye humor during his talk. He writes the Lincoln Rhyme mystery novels and has been given approval to continue the 007 Books! #NatBookFest #NatBookFest2018

Have it the college try and couldn‘t do it.
Catching up on #AprilBookishMadness
Day 7: suspense- so the tagged book was full suspense for me, but no where near as much as the tension and anticipation I‘m feeling about getting my hands on each and every book in my TBR pile. It‘s driving me a little scatty! 😂🤪
