I forgot to post it a few days ago, but here‘s my 2017 #yearinbooks!
I forgot to post it a few days ago, but here‘s my 2017 #yearinbooks!
A few days late, but my 2017 stats. This was my first year tracking more than just number of books and pages read. Overall I‘m pleased, but I definitely see room for improvement in diversifying my reads. I also read a lot of short books (my average was around 292 pages) so I want to tackle some larger books this year.
#2017 #stats #yearinreview
My 2017 #readingstats!!!! This is the best year I have had thanks to Litsy!!! ❤️📚 I really am proud of myself and I really love how audiobooks have really helped me read more and in a different and in my opinion sometimes better way. Here‘s to 2018!!
Here is my #top17of2017 in no particular order. #17of2017 #best17of2017
I only included first-time reads.
*Entire March trilogy
*All volumes of Giant Days thru 5
Final stats of 2017 because book stats are the best stats.
And a big thank you to @erinreads for posting this so fellow kittens could be inspired and use it.
2017 was my first year doing reading challenges other than the Goodreads challenge. I tried the #LitsyReadingChallenge & #LitsyAtoZ . I didn't finish either one (lacking D, J, K, R, V, X), but I made a decent dent in both. Both The Virgin Suicides (10% in) & Anna Karenina (20% in) are on my currently reading list and both would've applied to another square or letter. Here's to a more productive (as far as reading goes) 2018!
Well, despite the year mostly being a dumpster 🔥 I did make my yearly reading goal! That‘s something, right?
For 2018 I bumped my goal up to 200. I‘ve read more than that for the last couple of years, but not by a ton ton, so it‘ll be more of a stretch than my usual 150.
I was so happy to crush my goal of 165 back in July and was sure I'd be able to reach 300 by the end of the year. Pregnancy had other things in mind for me (for a bit there I went from reading 7-10 books a week to going a whole month without finishing a book!😱) but I'm happy I finally got back on track. Ready to start 2018! 🤗#readinggoal #2017review
My year in books. My goal was 36 books but I fell short. I‘m still navigating the work/kids/family balance as this was my first full year back to work in 17 years. I didn‘t spend as much free time with a book, but I know 36 is attainable, if I put my phone down and pick up my book.
2018‘s goals: 36 books (so many fewer than most Littens!), clear off my overflowing bookshelves and participate more on Litsy with monthly wrap ups, etc.
Days 29 & 30 #SeasonsReadings2017 #FaveBookishMoments #BestBooksof2017 It's almost 2:AM here so Happy New Year! The firecrackers have died down but I'm still awake so I'm catching up on photo challenges. My favorite bookish moments have been spent on Litsy (thank you all for them!) ❤️These were my best books of the year, in no particular order. Jumping on the #17in2017 bandwagon & it was a hard to cut off there-I could have easily kept going. 📚❤️
My goal was 60 books, & last year's total was 51, so I'd say that 2017 was a successful reading year! Due in no small part, of course, to Litsy & you #Littens! Here's to 2018! #MyYearInBooks
With the year finally coming to a close, here‘s #MyYearInBooks. I set my limit low at 25 this year cuz I was coming out of a very long reading slump (I‘m talking years). But, with the help of @bookriot Read Harder Challenge, recommendations from @Liberty and @rebeccaschinsky via #AllTheBooks, and the discovery of Litsy, I‘ve not only surpassed my goal but kicked my reading slump‘s ass! 😬🤗 Thank you to all the Littens for a warm welcome! ♥️♥️♥️
And I read 112/35 books for 2017! I made a goal of 100 for 2018. How many books did you read in 2017 and what is your goal for 2018?

Completed my reading challenge with 3 hours to spare.
Part 2 of #17in2017 I feel like I had to leave some major titles off, so I guess it was a pretty damn good reading year after all!
Not a bad reading year, but not a great one either. Expecting a much better year in books for 2018! Not doing a single challenge, probably listening to more audiobooks than 2017. Happy New Year, littens!!
And that's a wrap for 2017!
I just finished Prairie Fires today and I'm calling it a year.
Not bad!
These are the totals from my reading spreadsheet for 2017. I only count pages for text read and hours for audio. One of those 144 books was read and counted twice. A few books were a combination of formats, but I tallied the main format used for each. Over 100 were from the library, borrowed from friends, or accessed free in some way.

I was bored this afternoon, so I sketched out my #17in2017 #Top17of2017 book list. I still had a hard time just choosing 17. This has been my best year of reading ever! Thanks @cobwebmoth for getting me on litsy! And a big Thank You to the litsy community for being a great place to share my love of books and build my tbr to epic proportions!
My year in books for 2017. I didn‘t read as much as I normally do, but I beat my challenge! Yay!

Well 2017, it's been a slice! On to new and better things. ❤️ I have a feeling 2018 is going to be bloody brilliant. #my2017 #2017ReadingStats #myyearinbooks
And here is my savings for all the physical books that I took out from my local libraries ❤️ I saved $5,678.25 !!! 😲😲😲😲
That means if I combine the physical loans with the digital and audiobook loans, I had a whopping total savings of $11,199.43 after taxes.
THAT IS FREAKING CRAZY! I am so so blessed to have access to 4 wonderful libraries in my city. Yay!

It has been one heck of a year for my #ReadingStats ❤️ Late last week I started calculating the costs for how much money I've saved this year thanks to my library card.
Here is the total for any ebooks or audiobooks that I downloaded with Libby or Hoopla. After taxes I saved $5,521.18 😲😲😲😲
That is insane 😱❤️ #my2017 #2017ReadingStats #TotalSavings
thanks for being a happy place for me in 2017, Litsy! here‘s to more fun, friendship, and great reads in 2018!
Here‘s my #17in2017 #bestof2017
Even narrowing it down to 17 is difficult!
1. Audio - Born a Crime by Trevor Noah
2. New Read Fiction - Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry & Reread Fiction - Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
3. Non-fiction - Radium Girls by Kate Moore (tough choice, but this one has stayed in my thoughts)
4. New-to-Me Author - probably Agatha Christie
#LitsyQuestions
1. I don't listen to audiobooks~
2. Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
3. Where Am I Now? by Mara Wilson
4. Probably Phillip Pullman or Liane Moriarty!
#LitsyQuestions @GypsyKat
Just updated my Books I've Read In 2017 list and so far I've read 444. I think I'm going to have to try for 450.... I've got 30 hours to read 6 more. I think that's more than manageable with all these graphic novels I have laying around. 😉📚
And to think I started off my year with a goal of 52. 😂 #CRUSHEDIT
Thanks for an awesome year of reading.
Happy New Year to all you lovely littens.
💥🎉📚
I am so done with 2017. I‘m calling it now and any books I read tomorrow will get counted towards 2018. Fuck it. #booksiread #goodbye2017 #2017reading
THANKS @Cinfhen - GREAT IDEA

How I feel about 2017 at the moment. What a crapptastic year. Between 45 being a you-know-what for most of the year and the massive hurricanes that hit the Gulf Coast and the Caribbean and the lack of buzzy books, it‘s not been a great. But there are signs: the election in VA, the bringing in of Doug Moore, the Women‘s March... There is hope.
Didn't do too bad this year! Especially thanks to all those graphic novels... 😆
