I really enjoyed this story. It was original and a different take on a zombie apocalypse than any I‘ve ever read. The ending was a little too abrupt for my liking. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not a favorite of mine but still an interesting read/listen. I assumed this was a straight “cell phones turn people into zombies” story but really seemed more about cells making people hive-minded, telepathic sort of people who also are kind of like zombies? But can communicate? And I‘m not sure if I missed why this happened and the ending was so open it just felt slightly unsatisfying. Still entertaining though! 🌟🌟🌟#scarathlon #teamslaughter
I read as part of the monthly #losersclub. If you liked The Stand, you may enjoy this as well. Comments below with spoiler tag. 😀
#losersclub it's day early but discussion for Cell starts NOW! Welcome to the open discussion for #Cell.
Please be mindful of spoilers. We have new readers to King who haven't read all of his books. When referencing his other work, please keep this in mind for our new to King frinds. Don't forget to tag each other in the comments so your friends can see your reply. Have fun! #StephenKing #StephenKinginOrder #Kingfromthebrginning

There were too many unresolved subplots and too many things were left unexplained. I also didn‘t like the ending. The pace of the story was good, and the tension and sense of danger kept things interesting. This definitely isn‘t one of his best works, though.
I only have 3 hours left of this 12 hour audiobook. That went fast. I have Memorial Day off, so I took off today and Tuesday as well. I went for a walk and listened to Cell, then got my feet done. Now I‘m sitting here on the couch reading Book Lovers. #audiowalk
It‘s been so long since I read this book that I‘d forgotten how much I liked it. I‘m enjoying this reread so far. #losersclub #audiowalk

Getting ready to start this for loser‘s club- I‘ve read it twice, but so long ago that it will be a fun reread.
Tried to read outside during the ⛈ but it rained into the porch and I had to bail. It was a good one, too! #losersclub
Lol I didn‘t save any of our old flip phones 🤣 #losersclub starts today with this one, and I am here for it! @Mynameisacolour

Graphic artist Clay Riddell was in the heart of Boston on that brilliant autumn afternoon when hell was unleashed before his eyes. Without warning, carnage and chaos reigned. Ordinary people fell victim to the basest, most animalistic destruction.
And the apocalypse began with the ring of a cell phone...
Cuts straight to the choas & enjoyed the characters. Wanted to know more at end! Lengthy details got me at points but I read a lot of YA🤷🏻♀️
He did it with a teacher's natural assumptions: lecturing was his responsibility, interruption his privilege.
"It'll be all right...Really"
"So you say, but you have persecution complex and delusions of grandeur."
"That's true, but they're balanced out by poor self-image and ego menstruation at roughly six week intervals."
What Darwin was two polite to say, my friends, is that we came to rule the Earth not because we were the smartest, or even the meanest, but because we have always been the craziest, most murderous motherfuckers in the jungle.
Three days ago we not only ruled the earth, we had survivor's guilty about all the other species we'd wiped out on our climb to the nirvana of round-the-clock cable news and microwave popcorn. Now we're the Flashlight People.
Clay didn't know whether to laugh or start crying again. Part of him felt like doing both at the same time. Of course if he did that, they would think he was having hysterics. And of course they would be right.
Not my favorite by Stephen King but still a fun adventure. Great concept in a time when cell phones were just becoming an in-every-hand reality.
⭐⭐⭐/5... cell phones turning humans into Zombie type of weirdos.
My phone is in for repairs. So if I'm quite for the weekend know it was my own stupidity.😞
I may cross 1000 photos if I would ever remember to put my sd card in my new phone. Lets be real, its been six months. And unlike my wife @anewton91 I am not ashamed to just leave a FB message on read status.

This was the first Stephen King book I ever read. It immediately got me hooked on the way he writes, it started a life long love affair.
#cellblocktango #musicalnewyear
Written as we all just started depending on mobile/cell phones.
For me, this book was okay. It had its moments and I liked the idea; but the ending was disappointing for me. One thing I will say about this that is different from most of King‘s books is that the action started right away. Typically there is more character and setting development before you get to the creepy stuff. That sucked me into the book quicker than most of his novels.
My husband completely enriched my life (🙄) and introduced me to this Yanny/Laurel business this evening. It brought to mind Cell by Stephen King, where “The Pulse” comes through cell phones and either kills you or transforms you. So, I‘m fully expecting to wake up to a horde of zombies tomorrow. And I‘ve heard both “Yanny” and “Laurel” when I‘ve listened, so I‘m either immune or I will be the Zombie Overlord. 🧟♀️ Godspeed, my friends! 😂
My headache cure. #starbucks, my #kindle and some quiet time while the kiddo is in dance class. I'm hoping it works, but even if not, it's a win, right? 😄🥤📚 #homeschoollife
Stephen you can do better than this! Nope. Didn't like it. It was very slow and nothing really happened.
I should sleep... right? but I'm not tired at all. I kinda slept all day.
Y'all should subscribe to my YouTube channel! it's kinda crappy, but I'm lazy and Don have a fancy camera for visual effects and all that, s these usually don't have edits to them.
Total blood fest. Very creative imagery and action scenes. Similiar to Simon Clark's 'Blood Crazy' in how a certain category of people transform almost instantaneously from average joes to insane killers and than form a sort of collective consciousness. King imagines up a world in which all cell phone users go berserk.
Definitely recommend it to anyone even remotely interested in getting some modern day thrills and chills.
Library, McKay's and ice cream. I think I covered all the important things today!!
Started this yesterday!! So far it is really good!!! 😀😀

I'm the worst at #buddyreading - it's either I finish the book in one sitting or refuse to pick it up at all. 🤷🏻♀️ Working on catching up to @daydreamingnightreading this morning! Have you guys read #Cell by #stephenking ?!? It read like an old school zombie movie.
Cell is an awesome character-driven story. There is no other way to say it. Sure, there are crazies (phoners) running around...literally, but this story is centered around the main characters and their struggle. That's what I love about King's works. If you haven't read it, read it.
I love Stephen King, he is a good writer with lots of details but it was kind of slow and a long on going process. I'm always looking for 700+ page books to read. It was interesting more for someone who wants an "3end of the world apocalypse" kind of thing
I don't have a book I #dnf unless I count the time I tried this in audiobook and learned that audiobooks are just not for me (my mind wanders without the words in my face). So I bought the book but haven't gotten to reading it yet! #stephenking17
Most of the books I've started I've finished, even the couple that I hated but this one I had to #DNF I just couldn't get into it. #StephenKing17
#stephenking17 #dnf I really liked this book, I bought it when it came out and loved it, then I got busy and just lost steam. I haven't picked it up since. Thankfully this challenge is making me want to reread all of his books, so hopefully I will finish this!
Now I read primarily horror novels or things of the weird sort. Yet this one did a number on me. The concept isn't even brand new. Yet all I remember is getting really messed up dreams. Even when trying to read from where I left off. Needless to say still haven't finished it. #scaredyou #stephenking17 #muchlove #latetotheparty #wingingit
My absolute favorite author! Amazing book! Couldn't put it down! 10/10 better than the movie
