Wow this was impactful. This one will be with me for a while.
Wow this was impactful. This one will be with me for a while.
I was not expecting that ending. This is the first book I have read by this author and will be reading more!
This was a weird horror choose your own adventure type book. I read it thru two different paths. Trigger warnings in the back of the book.
Meh. I liked their other book way better. Might be too hyped and got my expectations too high.
Just finished this on Kindle. It was a great short story and other than Graveyard Shift has been the only thing I seem to have enjoyed recently. Maybe crawling my way out of this reading slump.
Starting this one tonight. Hopefully this get me out of my slump.
Needed something different, this had been on my TBR for a long time. I went in not remembering anything about it. I enjoyed the story and the different povs.
This book has three main sections with different main characters. I really could have done without the second one. I think @LibrarianRyan said it best her review.
I am enjoying reading these again. Although some parts, as with most older books, do not age well.
I really liked the honesty from the author and his sister. I really found a lot of things they faced I could relate to.
I really enjoyed this book. I went in ignoring all the other reviews and I had a great time reading it.
Just finished up this one. I was not sure I was going to like it but it captured me.
Wow that was not at all what I was expecting. I am kinda still at a loss for words. 🐰🦌🦊
I knew nothing going into this book but I enjoyed it a lot. Very different from what the cover made my brain decide what the book was about.
This was my least favorite of all three of Attica Locke‘s books. Just could not get myself to care about the characters.
I loved this book more than the first one in the trilogy. I fell in love with the characters and even cried a bit.
This was great! Sheba was excited to have done couch time with Mom!
At Scarlet Lane Brewery for Scarelastic Bookfair featuring horror authors and a few independent publishers. It was awesome! Got so many new books, totally blew my budget. 100% would do again.
Such a great novella. My first 5 star of the year. So much story is packed into slim volume. I cannot wait for this author‘s next book
I really enjoyed this book. I always feel like Jason Reynolds books are so much more than they are on he surface. He is most definitely an auto buy author!
Pretty good year. Did not make my goal but that is okay. It was a very busy work year and other personal things, so I am happy with 64.
Thank you so much for this awesome #jolabokaflod @Graciouswarriorprincess I am ready to sit back and relax for the day! Thanks to @MaleficentBookDragon for hosting once again.

@MaleficentBookDragon sent off my #Jolabokaflodswap package today. Should be there Friday.
Oh I have liked everything I have read so far from N. K. Jemisin. This was not as good as broken earth. But extremely solid and I cannot wait to read the next one.
As with most short story collections, there are some really good ones and some that are okay. I did like how SK gave the background of the stories. I wish they always did that!
Glad to have finished out the mystery of who did it and how. Nice set of YA books.
I just love all these books! Some of these just get me so much! ❤️🦖📚❤️🦖🦕
Ready for the next one to see how this all ends. I am the minority as I liked the first book better.
I thought this was going to be more horror ghosts. But totally took a different turn. I really enjoyed the book. It was a good book for being the authors first novel. Looking forward to more works from this author.
Ready for the next one. I have to know how this ends. I wish I would not have waited so long between reading the first and the second one.
Holy Cow 7 years!!! ❤️📚📚❤️
Read this for the family bookclub. I really thought this would be more about the dictionary but it was really a coming of age story. My mom really liked it. I thought it was a low pick.
Oh I think I am in love with this book! I was not expecting to start it but my library hold came in and man I devoured it in two days.
Been in a bit of a reading slump. Trying to jump start it again with this one. I enjoyed the first one and it was a fairly easy read.
I picked this one for our family bookclub this month. The title novella was my favorite. But I enjoyed most of the other stories as well. As with every short story collection you always have some that you do not like as well as others. This sparked some really good discussions with my Mom and Brother. I will most likely read her other book.
While I still have one more to go in the series, it is pretty safe to say this is my favorite story in the series. I was not sure at first but as I read on I fell in love with it.
I wanted to wait until some of the hype died down on this book. I am glad I did so I could go in not remembering much of what was said. This was a great book!
I was surprised how much I enjoyed this it was an easy fast read. Not sure if the antics will be something I would want to read again and again. The comparisons to Stephanie Plum I totally agree with.
I think this my favorite book so far by Louise Erdrich. I love how timely it is, I love how she put herself in the book. I love that it is in a bookstore.
This was a really raw look at Viola‘s childhood and formative years. She is one strong woman!
Thank you Jenn!!!! I am so excited to read this one and Linder are awesome!!!! Thank you @MaleficentBookDragon for hosting this every year. It is my most favorite swap.
Saw this over on Instagram and pretty sure I do not agree with any of these selections. What do you all think?
@MaleficentBookDragon @Born.A.Reader My Jolabokaflod package came today. I had my husband open it and take this out so I can be surprised on the 24th! I am so excited!!!!
Extremely interesting book. 6 out of 12 children with mental health disorders. The book focuses a lot on the family and the study of schizophrenia. I would have liked a bit more about the parents and their backgrounds.
