Started this last night as my ”reading myself to sleep” book. Only a chapter in but I am already enjoying it! There is something very Dr. Who about the takers and the way they are only aware of you when you are aware of them, cousins to the Silence and Weeping Angels maybe with sensory input/output being an important factor for all three ”monsters”... Just thinking out loud...
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really enjoyed this ”just the facts” non-fictionalized telling of the Salem Witch Trials! It doesn't matter how many books I read on the subject, (and I have read a lot!) I always learn at Least one new thing in each book!
pick⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ LOVED this second installment in the trilogy! I can really relate well to all of characters; the story line is fresh and imaginative, being, in my opinion, a perfect blend of reality and fantasy; the romantic tension is just right for me, I am not big on romance in stories but Holmberg got it right in this series! Cannot wait to read the final book!

Started this sequel to The Paper Magician this morning; I fell in love with Ceony and Emery in the first book and am really looking forward to reading more about them!

I am so glad I took the advice of @WhatThePuck & @MaleficentBookDragon and read it anyway because I LOVED IT and am looking forward to the rest of the series!!
My house is small and my sacred space doubles as a bedroom for my 3 year old and 1 year old granddaughters. Since I store all of my spiritual books in this space, I keep all of their spiritual books in there as well ... these are three of my favorites!
One of my favorite things: Reading this book with my Noodle! I know I have posted this book before, but it is just such an awesome book for little goddesses-in-training; emphasizing in simple language what every little girl needs to know to be a Warrior Goddess!💕❤️💕

Started this on audio today, although I am a bit unsure about this choice. I LOVE vampire tales and I normally LOVE Del Toro, however, I didn‘t make it past the first season of the TV series before I abandoned it with much disappointment. Time will tell...
👎👎 The only other Maberry book I have read is Beneath the Skin, and I enjoyed that one. LULLABY, however, gets two thumbs down for stealing 32 minutes of my life that I will never get back! I am a fan of the short story, but this one was aptly titled; had I not been driving it totally would have put me to sleep!

I had sooo much fun shopping for this swap today! I usually do all my swap shopping online, as I hate going to the store. But I love going to the witchy stores and hit up two of them today!!
And the last estate sale haul pic: A pair of old Freemason manuals. The one on the left is copyright 1934, the one on the right 1945....the one on the right is also almost entirely in code! 🤓
And this beautiful book was only $2! I am not interested in pristine antiques, I much prefer a book that looks it‘s age! I have a thing for those Grimm boys, and am thrilled to have found this!

pick⭐️⭐️⭐️ So I LOVE the movie, it is one of my all time faves! I had never read the book .. i chose the audio version because Rob Reiner narrates it. I LOVE Rob Reiner and he was the director of the movie; i thought it should be a perfect match! I was wrong! ROB REINER IS A HORRIBLE NARRATOR!!! I need to read the physical version to get a true feel for the actual written story...

pick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Madeline Miller is AMAZING!! I read Circe a few weeks ago and simply loved it! Song of Achilles was equally as enthralling! I need more! I am lost between two worlds — the world of Miller‘s mythology and my own — my world is beautiful, but I want more of hers!!
I am reading this one very slowly and deliberately, in both audio and physical book, as it is one of those books that requires a lot of attention to detail to avoid missing subtle and important plot points. I am 19 chapters in to this massive 80 chapter read and am LOVING it!! This is my first Murakami, and I am sure it will not be my last!
pick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Finished this one yesterday, second in the series. This one wrapped up a little too easily and a little too suddenly, but to be honest, I read these cozies as pallet cleansers between more involved, intense, or darker books, and this one was very enjoyable, with likable characters and suited it‘s purpose very nicely! I will definitely continue the series!
It turns out that The Wish Granter is the 2nd book in a series, so I will go with the 1st book in the series instead: The Shadow Queen.
The Singing Bones does not really make a good fit for the whole markup/annotation thing. I pulled my copy off my TBR shelf and every other page is an art print & every other page is literally only one paragraph or less of text.

pick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I totally enjoyed this retelling of Peter Pan! It was darker than the original, a little bit steampunk, the characters were realistic/believable, and the storyline was almost too believable - I could totally see this happening! Listened to the audiobook and both the male and female narrators were amazing!!

OVERALL: I am enjoying this book; it isn‘t sucking me in like I expected it to, and I have to remind myself to pick it up, but I enjoy it while I am reading it. I feel like Nieshka changed from whiny, brat with no belief in herself to confident magician in training way to quickly and painlessy; and sometimes I feel like I have started a series in the middle —>

pick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Another free download from audiobooksync.com and to be honest I did NOT expect to like this one; I am not big on love stories & most “overcoming challenges” stories are trite, sappy and overly “preachy” for me. This book however, was very well written with characters who had realistic and believable reaction and responses to events and the sarcasm and humor were spot on as a contrast to the serious issues being raised. LOVED IT!
pick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I am six books into this series and still get sucked in as if it is the first! While the rational side of my brain knows that all of the books are basically the same: Bad guy pisses off vampires, vampires retaliate and fail almost dying only to recoup, regroup and save the day — the characters are so lovable and real, the writing is so enjoyable and Tavia Gilbert narrates so brilliantly that I barely notice!!
For @LShelby ... here is the full wall ... 8 guitars: 2 electric, 1 dobro, 1 twelve string, 1 travel electric, 3 acoustic ... 1 concert ukulele, 1 soprano ukulele which still needs to be hung ... and an assortment of percussives, maracas, a washboard and straps!
