My mood is so mixed these days. I am SO very blessed with my 3 grandsons, but so worried about their future in this broken country and world.

I am so thankful that my husband and I are able to live our retirement dream after saving for so many years, but worried about the economy.

Today I feel spring around the corner- reached 71 today. I feel exhilaration after attending a protest in Hartford, always coffee, the “ Robert Tree” our Magnolia is starting to bloom, kitties, tonight‘s sunset, Litsy friends, the ocean at Banks Street Beach, Harwich Port,Cape Cod,books!, my first porch day with coffee & a book, sisters, hummingbirds yet to visit my garden. #hope #joy #love #gratitude #resist #nature #moodboardcontest #mbc

My mood board is all about my guys, whom I‘m missing. They live in the Midwest and I‘ve not seen them since last June. They are each other‘s best friend and I love the closeness we all share despite the distance. (Grateful for Skype).

I've been scrolling a lot this morning, which has left me sad/angry/dismayed, so I decided to focus my mood board on things that bring me joy.
Family is first, of course, but here are things I do that make me happy.

A little about my board - I am in a funk of frustration re: the world we live in. The ocean in the background (although water is my happy, its also scary and rocky); But -- Smily shark, symbolizes the hope! And of course 🦞 is my distraction and allows nonjudgmental rest :) #moodboardcontest / #mbc

I grounded my mood board with a forest, because that's where I always turn for grounding. And took inspiration from the local beavers who are knocking things down to build something new, the bright and hopeful first flowers of Spring, the wise words of Bill Watterson, and a cursing horse. And always, always tea in my tired hands.

My mood board is a selection of dream libraries and book nooks on Pinterest. It is a reflection of where I go in my head when I need a break from reality. I find them soothing to look at. ☺️
