BarkingMadRead I thought it had some similarities to the Stand, which is my fave. 2y

Sparklemn @HeathHof I enjoyed Cell but not nearly as much as The Stand. I found the Harvard character more amusing than scary. I liked the relationships that developed between the characters in such a short time. (edited) 2y

HeathHof I agree about it having some similarities but enjoyed the fact that it was very much it's own. I think the MC's were sweet. (Although I kept wondering if one of them were going to go off the deep end &Alice drove me a little nuts with her incessant shoe squishing tick.) What did you all imagine caused the pulse? @Sparklemn @BarkingMadRun 2y

Erinsuereads I at first felt like it was a knock off of the the stand but it really grew on me. The thing that stuck with me the most was the ending though. I think it's crazy that Stephen king has us all so brainwashed that he can write an ending like that and we could assume the thing works and it all ends up being okay. That's completely safe because there is no indication is doesn't. But we all know better.....damn the man. 2y

Ms_T Ooh, I forgot about this book! I read it a few years ago and if I remember correctly, the start is particularly gruesome. It's a great read and makes you think twice about using your mobile phone 😂 7y
