Volunteered to work the book fair at the school where my sister works. Hopefully, I will make it out of there without buying literally everything. Today was only day one, and I already have a stack of books I plan on getting.
For those of you who might remember these kids as babies, this is Gracie and Leander. Granddaughter and best friend. I babysat them together for years, each of them starting with me at 3 months of age. Leander is exactly one year older than Gracie. Their love for books started at a very young age and I loved taking them to the school book fair this year.
I had my first book fair as a school librarian in September. It was a huge success and also so exhausting!

Hopefully a big, cheap book haul to come later!
I may have shopped before the children even got to class this morning. 😉
Book fair starts at school tomorrow. I have pre shopped and may have asked a Librarian to put something to the side for me. 😈

It was so fun to browse the themed selection! I wasn‘t sure how a bookstore‘s book fair at a brewery would be, but it was very neat. A Halloween curated collection of books and bookish items - so many cool things and enticing books! It was pretty crowded - I would have liked to check out the books in my detail for my TBR. Chris had the brews, and baby and I 🤰had the ice cream ‘witches, so everyone was happy 😄
For the first time since 2019, the book fair is back at the school I teach at!!! I can‘t tell you who was more excited when we saw the book fair truck pull up. (It was me let‘s be honest!) My littles were so excited to see all the new books. I can‘t wait to see what books get donated to my classroom to share with my book loving littles!
I love this candle company! So many of their candles are book related & speak to my Elder Millennial soul! Book Haul post 2 of 2. I did snag a few more Christmas novels. I imagine I'll read them eventually.
I WENT BACK! ?♀️ I couldn't stand knowing that they were just going to "recycle"... basically shred all the leftover, unwanted books. Today was clean sweep day, all the books you want to take for $1. I came home with 59 books. I have no room for these... but... at least they aren't being shredded.

A couple of things to keep in mind when looking at my selections, I currently own over 1,700 books, so as you can imagine space for them is becoming scarce. I went there with absolutely no wish list and no selections in mind, other than picking up a few Christmas books.
Well guys, I went to the book fair and OMG... the amount of BOOKS! I wanted to bring them all home, but where would I put them? And the Christmas books... so many, but honestly I did not get too many because I know I will never finish them. #WinterGames @StayCurious @Clwojick

OMG! I'm so excited y'all! I just found out that the Dayton Book Fair is happening this year, AND, it just so happens to be during my staycation.
Bag Day (Sunday, $7.50 per bag) and Clean Sweep Monday– pay one dollar to get in between 8 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and take as much with you as you want.
You bet your bottom I will be there! God willing! 🙏

The annual Goddard Riverside Book Fair I always post about is virtual this year! So all those who could never attend this great cause can do so from your own home. All books are 50% off retail and there's hundreds of book options donated across publishers. 100% of the proceeds go to Goddard's programing which helps everyone from homeless to elders to any kind of New Yorker in need.

My two little homeschoolers got to go to the #Manzibookfair since everything is virtual these days. They had a blast (so did I!). I had so much fun researching and picking out the books for them and setting it all up. I‘m so glad my babies love books. #raisethereaders

I am PISSED. I normally love #bookoutlet. But I am PISSED. I knew it would take longer to get my books because of the holiday. I have watched this box sit and sit and sit at UPS surepost. And now it‘s not going to make it until AFTER Christmas. I already missed holidays with the boys and now it‘s going to miss actual Christmas. I ordered Dec 3. There is no reason for this. They had the order processed in 2 days. It‘s all UPS fault!!!

According to several studies us Finns read books more than any other country. Based on the amount of people a few minutes after the doors opened at the Helsinki book fair I fully believe this! The Helsinki library bus has a moomin theme. The speaker of the Parliament (former PM) was there as well. He just had a heart surgery a month ago.

Todays book sale plan: Bring one bag, go late so theres limited time to look, bring son that nags you the minute you walk in that he wants to leave. Success! With this plan i was able to buy a quarter of the books i usually walk out with, be way more selective instead of just buying everything and only spending $37.00!! I got 45 books! 😝
I wait all year for this book sale!! Its in Newtown. Today was half price day. Usually i go on Tuesday for fill a bag for $5 or Wednesday when its all free! I usually take those days off from work! 😝 Not sure if i can come back. Haul to come!

It's one of the best weeks of the year! I can't tell you who was more excited to see the book fair truck the kids or me! ??♀️ I love seeing and hearing their reactions to all the books!
