Happy Halloween, Littens!
🎃🍁👻
This was way more deeply emotional than I first thought this story would be. Had me in tears 😭 at several passages. It‘s a moving story of letting go of the past, being true to yourself, and fully opening up so one can love and be loved 🥰
Very well written and a page turner! 📖
How fun is this at a local library?! 📚
#Pirate 🏴☠️ fun!
Today marks my 8th anniversary on Litsy!

I took advantage of this deal!
Love it when one of my interests shows up in books. In this case tall ship sailing. The character Charlie used to sail on a windjammer - super cool!
A goal of mine is to set sail on one of those week long cruises and get first hand experience of nautical life. Though, I‘m not sure my motion sickness will allow such fun lol
I started this cute little rom com for this month‘s book club selection.
I participated in the Kellogg reading program by buying cereal and a partner product to get two book credits. These are the books I chose for my 18 month old daughter! ☺️📚
Such a good book in development of the characters and plot! It had its highs and revelations! And its lows and inner turmoil for the main characters. It even opened a lot of questions that I hope the next book in the series will answer.
I listened to the audiobook (49 hours), but sooo worth it! The two narrators do a superb job reading!
Happy Birthday to me! 🎂🎉🎈💐📦
While at the Dollar Tree I found this Jane Austen book! 📕
Over the weekend I was in Chicago and went to the American Writer‘s Museum. It was a nice little museum full of notable American authors!
In the children‘s area they highlighted children authors. Here‘s the Louisa May Alcott panel and Little Women book.
Avast, scalawags!
Here be me crew at the Michigan Renaissance Festival this past weekend! We pillaged and plundered and watched the joust 🐎

Happy Talk Like Ye Pirate Day!!! 🖤🏴☠️
Started this for the September #LittensLoveRomance two-chapters-a-day readalong with @StayCurious !
Loving the sexual tension and witty banter!
And it‘s great to see that the book characters acknowledge the similarities of Ford Matthews, archeologist, being named after Harrison Ford, Indiana Jones - archeologist!
#WondrousWednesday
1. I would love to get to England and see all these places and things I‘ve read about! And, of course, take a Jane Austen tour 🥰
2. JA‘s Centre in Bath
I gotta say I LOVE the picture for today‘s post with the leaf skirt and the flow of the image 🍂
Started this ebook for September‘s book club pick.
Was not expecting the Terry Pratchet and Neil Gaimen style of writing with its quirkiness and snark, much like Good Omens.
It will be interesting to see what shenanigans ensue.
This held such promise, but it was a disappointment.
The details on the writing were sloppy.
The motivation for Inez, though plausible, was too broad to give her focus.
I did like the romance between Inez and Whit. He was the best character out of this whole book!
The “shocking” revelations were eye rolling semi-disbelieving outcomes.
I got frustrated with the characters. Inez kept making one bad choice after another, never learning a lesson.
A nice novelette of kindness and not allowing one‘s past to dictate their future.
This was a fun Regency romance 💝
I loved the banter between the earls; a great trio of friends!
A bit of a slow romance, not too much action, it was a lot more conversational.
Archie‘s reply and commentary spoke to me, especially with my 16 month old daughter and how she‘s my ballast against the current storm that has affected us. Keep us in your thoughts, and if you pray, say one for us.
I donated a romance basket to my parish‘s festival this year; here it is! 🥰📚❤️
I supported Mount Vernon with a small donation, so I could receive this book!
It arrived on BOOK LOVERS DAY! 📚 (August 9)
#BookHaul from my local #DollarTree store! 📚
Some will be gifts. While a couple I just may read myself! ☺️📖
Current book club selection for August!
Crazy that I had to get the hardcover edition from my library, because there were too many holds on the ebook and audiobook on Libby! I would never have gotten it to read before discussion time at the end of the month.
This book had me talking aloud as I pieced together the clues to try and see if George Talbots really did disappear or not. And what was Lady Audley hiding, what secret(s) was she keeping?!
Book discussion for this on on Tuesday, 8/6; can‘t wait to hear what the others thought of this one!
I thoroughly enjoy it! Well written, fast paced. I didn‘t mind listening for hours at a time!
#LittensLoveRomance AUGUST 2024 readalong with @StayCurious !!!

I‘ll be reading this book; sounds like such a cute bro trip that turns into something more when there‘s ladies involved! 💘

Saw this play at the park this afternoon!
An amazing performance to be sure: clear dialogue, we‘ll acted, the fool had a good singing voice, facial expressions emotive, and the innuendo was really played into.
And it doesn‘t hurt that it was pirate edition! 🏴☠️
#ShakespeareInThePark
I shared the table with @CKBrooke and here are her books! She made sure to have her American Pirate duology there! 🏴☠️😁
I was one of over 70 authors to sell books at SterlingFest‘s Local Author Book Sale and Signing today! Here‘s my setup.
Sales were pretty good, but what made my day was the Book Clubbers were there to keep me company! ☺️

Watched the Paris 2024 Olympic Opening Ceremony this afternoon. They did a whole segment on literacy and were in the Paris Library 📚 #books
This is a request to the UK/GB/England Littens who would have access to the original English version, where the story takes place in England.
My friend @CKBrooke really wants to read them in their original version, meaning not the USA edition which changed location and some other details.
We‘re willing to pay for the UK editions and shipping.
Please, comment if you‘d be able to find and ship these books. Thanks a bunch!
Yesterday while at the #BarnesAndNoble there was this wall of books by a local MetroDetroit author ✍🏻
#PnPCovers
219. 2022 Disney Enterprises Inc, Pi kids an imprint of Phoenix International Publications
Went to a new Barnes and Noble location near me and saw this book rest, which advertised none other than Pride and Prejudice! It was not inducement enough to purchase said book rest, but tickled me pink to see P&P 🥰

216. 1994 Penguin Popular Classics (GB)

I took the plunge and signed up for premium on Audible. I get TWO month free!
Now I‘m not sure which audiobook to get with my monthly credit.
Any suggestions?
#WondrousWednesday
1. Spoil the ending, less stressful reading that way
2. Meet my favorite author
3. Romance novel, I would want to be always looking over my shoulder and being scared
4. Tough one, I‘ve always wanted to time travel and see history, but they don‘t always have luxuries or running water, so maybe Sci-Fi is the way to go
5. I recently skipped the 1st book and started at the 2nd. But I often don‘t get to the end of a series either.
Started this Jane Austen adaptation for one of the #JaneAustenJuly challenges! A chapter in and it‘s some neat world building with all manor of dragon creatures - big and small!
