These are fun!
This was a cute book, but I wasn't super into all the characters, so I don't think I'll continue the series.
Finished it while taking a staycation at Foxwoods (for some retail therapy).

Need to get moving (laying in bed is not helping my mental health). Found this #SeasonalCozies on Libby that is only 5 hours long. Should be able to use this as motivation to do some cleaning
I have been on a cozy mystery kick lately and this series about Mae West, owner of Happy Trails Campground, and her friends The Laundry Club Ladies solving mysteries in Normal, KY were fun cozy reads 🥰

Cute read with likable characters. The editing is pretty bad. I‘m willing to read the next in the series in spite of that.
I listened to the audiobook of this book. I liked the book. I just do think I enjoyed the narrator too much. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars.
Just a couple chapters in, but enjoying the start of this cozy series. #FirstLineFridays
Book 1 in a cozy mystery series. Fun & quirky characters. Quick listen. Series available free on Audible if you have a subscription.

How many book tracking apps do you use? I use 3/ Goodreads, StoryGraph, and Bookmory. I really love the visual calendar of Bookmory, and here‘s what I read this month! *keep in mind that I listen to audiobooks at a faster speed and can listen while I do my main job
I haven‘t started a niche cozy mystery series in ages! We‘ve got the town with a funny name (Normal, Kentucky), the quirky side characters (the bored librarian, the cheerful pastors wife, the detective with southern charm, the grumpy chef) & the MC - the young former wife of a man convicted of a Ponzi scheme who ends up the main murder suspect when he ends up floating in the lake of the campsite she got in the divorce. I enjoyed this on audio.
I've read this series all out of order. I've mostly been toward the newer stuff, so I decided to go back to the first book. It was great seeing how it all began. Seeing the people at the beginning is a little strange because I already know how some things turn out.
The story was good, I actually think it was one of the better mysteries I have read recently. Some moments were hilarious and actually made me laugh out loud.
Spent the evening audio listening to the tagged, assembling a puzzle and reading a magazine. It‘s been kinda hot here so they were relaxing activities done in air conditioned comfort. 😂
⭐️⭐️⭐️⚡️
This mystery novel is exactly what you would expect it to be - a light, easy and somewhat cheesy read. 🧀 This type of book is the comfort food of books for me, and I'm honestly not sure why I don't read them more often.
I thought I might be a cozy mystery person, but I‘m probably not. I don‘t think this was really good, but I don‘t know. 🤷🏾♀️
Finished this one in the wee hours of the morning, when I should have been sleeping. +16 for #TeamSlaughter 😍
I‘ll update the readathons when I get home from work
I get the low rating. The book is predictable and so vanilla. The main character isn‘t really like able...most of them aren‘t BUT it‘s such an easy mindless read. I‘d almost consider it a guilty pleasure.
I don‘t remember any beaches, bungalows or more than one burglary. I listened to the audiobook, and reading reviews I would skip the ebook. ....Up most instead of utmost, your and you‘re type errors. #cozymystery so I overlooked several problems with the plot.
1. Beaches, Bungalows, and Burglaries
2. Iced coffee ❤❤❤
3. And as one, her kinsmen yelled back, “For The Beast!” (What a Dragon Should Know, which is one of my many stress rereads)
