A tentative hi 👋
My apologies for going missing over the last several weeks. It's been very tough coming to terms with the loss of my aunt. It's her funeral on Monday, and I hope to be back to some semblance of my usual self after this.

My thoughts for the day. I'm helping my cousins take care of my aunt as she enters into palliative care. She means so much to me, and I'm so very grateful for this time I have with her and her children.
Grab life by the horns and find the joy in every day. We never know how long we have, and I don't ever want to leave things until it's too late.

My #Fridaynightshare choice for Spring fiction is the perfect A room with a view. It has everything, a coming-of-age novel, set in Florence and Edwardian England, with seering, comedic portrayal of polite society. I absolutely love it. In my view, E M Forster is on par with Jane Austen.

Yesterday was Mother‘s day here in the UK. I had a wonderful, relaxing day with my 4 children. ❤️🌷📚🕯🎂 It was bliss. My #hyggehour readathon was extended across the whole day tbh and I loved it.
pickA mammoth analysis of the Russian revolution that is well worth a read. Figes broaches the historical figures with a compassionate but critical eye, scrutinising key events that led to the overthrown Romanovs, revolution, and catastrophic change for so many. The repercussions of which are still felt a century later. It is endlessly fascinating.
