I love the tagged book. Eerie, wintry and gripping. Susan Cooper's books are rather humourless though, but still fun reads!

#Fridaynightshare Week 2 - Non-fiction- Winter
I had to choose The Library of Ice (despite choosing it last year 😅), as it had such an impact on me. It is a glorious homage to landscapes we must protect.

My choice for #MWS #FridayNightShare is a traditional reread of Charles Dickens Christmas Stories every December.
I also chose Eowyn Ivey's wonderful The Snow Child. It is set in the wilds of 1920s, Alaska. It revolves around a childless couple, Mabel and Jack. They build a snow child that comes to life, changing their lives.
It's a magical retelling of a Russian folktale, Snegurochka or The Snow Maiden. ❄️💙❄️
#fridaynightshare is back for #midwintersolace
Post about your favorite fiction book with Winter in it. Can‘t wait to see! #naturalitsy

This isn‘t exactly a book about mindfulness. The author loses his brother suddenly to an aggressive form of cancer, it upends his world. He leaves a beloved ( but challenging) job at The New Yorker to be a guard at the Met, the most beautiful place he knows. This story covers his 10 years as a guard where the art soothes him and he begins to recover and watch how the art helps others. It was meditative to listen to #fridaynightshare #litsolace

Our final #Fridaynightshare is to recommend a favourite book on mindfulness.
Right now, I'm hidden away in Sherwood forest on a family holiday. There is very little technical connectivity but plenty of spiritual, so all is good.
I'm looking forward to all your suggestions. 📚📚📚
