Much to like about this novel about three sisters dealing with the grief over the death of a fourth sister. Good character development and I appreciated all of the many issues brought up in the story. (Surprisingly this was the second book in a row that I‘ve read with boxing being a plot point.) Unfortunately I have a book hangover from my previous read so this book was a low pick for me.
#10BeforeTheEnd #offmyshelf

Yesterday, I went with my less-than enthusiastic SO to a pub-type quiz about #Italy. We realised there that it was all done on mobile phones, & ours were too old for it. We teamed up with someone we knew with the right gear & came 3rd🎉😁 We could have been 1st or 2nd if not for some technical issues... We received a gift voucher for a local Italian deli, and we got to eat some delicious vegetarian appetizers.

My first mystery for the #ChristmasCrimeChallenge. A locked room.
It was also on my list of #10beforetheend.

One more down from my #10BeforeTheEnd list. I definitely did not love all of these stories, but several of them were fantastic, which made reading the collection worthwhile. I have immense respect for her uncompromising creativity.

My 6th #10beforetheend book
This was Kunzru‘s debut and while I think it shares themes with his later work regarding identity, race, and class, it‘s more conventional.
Moving from India to England to Africa, the story is Dickensian in scope. Pran is an Anglo-Indian boy who can pass for white. Circumstances put him on the streets, forcing him to adopt new identities to get by. He‘s always chasing after belonging, but underneath he is hollow.

3/5⭐️ (Good)
I liked the puzzles, the premise and the twist at the end but it was very YA. I don‘t care about the love triangle. The supposed reason for the game was kind of lame in my opinion. Still, it has hooked me enough that I will continue with the series
This is my book for #I so I‘ve now competed #LitsyAtoZ @Texreader
