It may be halfway through January, but I finally got around to posting my “best of” reading list from 2021, if you want to check it out on my blog. 😊

Btw, my username is the same on both sites; anyone is welcome to befriend me :)
The start of 2022 has been quite chaotic for me - returned from vacation and immediately got sick with COVID. This is on top of spending the final months of 2021 recovering from breaking my leg in October. I am finally getting back above water and ready to post my 2021 year in review.
I was tagged by @Nute to do the #Top21of21. My top reads represent a variety of genres, but I have to say I only had a handful of 5 ⭐️ reads this year.
Goodreads wrap up for 2021.
Sometimes I wish we could do 2:3 pix here. I struggle to make these things readable. 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
2021 was my best reading year by far. I more than doubled my goal of reading 60 books and I didn't even include a few children's books or short stories in the final tally.

Well I went over last years number by a little bit. I‘m not sure I can keep up but we‘ll see 😅😂 the pandemic has been great for keeping me in, connected to fellow bookworms and looking forward to my next read always.
2021 Wrap Up!
I read 294 books 😳 I signed up for Kindle Unlimited and absolutely fell in love with so many authors. The majority of my books are from there. I really pushed myself this year to read as much as possible. Next year I plan to slow it down a bit.
#2021wrapup
2021 stats
Romance is my comfort genre and this was a tough year, so I'm honestly pleased that 50% of my reading was other genres. 0 shock that all my most read authors are romance authors.
This was my first year tracking publishers and it was cool to see how much of my reading is self published.
I'd like to manage a few longer reads in 2022, but I suspect audiobooks, novellas, and short stories will be more my speed once my baby arrives.
So hard to narrow down but here are 12 of my favorites from 2021. It‘s worth noting that 10 of these are audiobooks. And while I do love them, this year I am going to try to prioritize my print and kindle portion of my TBR. I don‘t allow myself to just be still and sit with a book too often and I‘d like to change that.
My goal was 120 books. I enjoyed all of the time I had to read & the books I read. I‘m hoping in 2022 to once again be busy with my kids‘ sporting events and travel.
#top21in21
If I had to choose a favorite, I think The Serpent King (Jeff Zentner) would just edge out For Lucy (Jewel E. Ann) but those are for sure my top two.
I also relistened to two of my all-time favorite series...The Illuminae Files (Kaufman & Kristoff) and The Hunger Games (Suzanne Collins).
My favorite “new“ Series of 2021 is for sure Chaos Walking (Patrick Ness).

Thanks @AsYouWIsh for the tag :)
💜The biggest challenge has been going back to school and dealing with all my medical stuff 💜 I suck at picking favorites! 💜 lots of quality time!! 💜
You are up- @jb72 and @ChrissyReadIt
My #top21in21
This year seemed harder to make it happen than 2020 🤷🏻♀️
And looking over my list, there are a LOT I don‘t recall at ALL - that‘s very unusual - I usually have at least an impression, if not total recall.
But these stood out for sure.
My top 3 would be
Plain Bad Heroines
The Midnight Library
Queen of Spades (read it!)
Happy Reading in 2022! 📚📚📚
1) a) Just getting through to the end of the year and that my white blood count has remained fairly normal during my cancer treatments
b) going through cancer treatments
2) it‘s either Shuggie Bain or The Dictionary of Lost Words
3) that I‘ll be in remission and that the pandemic will end
#wondrouswednesday
1. Going back to school to get my masters!!!
2. Corrupt by Penelope Douglas - has stuck with me since the moment I read it, can‘t wait to read the rest of the series.
3. I hope my new challenge goes well and that everyone enjoys it!! (#WickedWords - if anyone is interested!!)
Thank you for the tag @Bookworm54

My favorite books of 2021! ⬆️
#top21in21 I still have 1 or 2 books to read (maybe try for 3) but here are my favorites- and for me these were all 5 star reads! But tbh this was a good reading year- everything else I read was 3-4 stars with the exception of 2 books. Also story graph is being glitchy as I try to log and I have read 95 books so far!!! That‘s crazy cause it feels like I never have time to read! Thanks for the tags @Liz_M and @Laughterhp anyone else interested?
My favourite books of 2021 ❤
The Dare by Harley Laroux
The Girl with all the Gifts by MR Carey
Wonder by RJ Palacii
Inferno by Dan Brown
84 Charing Cross Road by Helene Haff
Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi
The Secret History by Donna Tartt
Roots by Alex Haley
No visible bruises by Rachel Louise Synder
Kindred by Octavia E Butler
And then there we none by Agatha Christie
The Red Tent by Anita Diamant
Today, I‘m sharing my year in books. This year, my reading was sporadic. There were some months where I read a lot of books and other months where I didn‘t read as much. In November, I read a little bit and then on Nov 20, my grandma passed away and I haven‘t picked up a book since then so I‘m in a reading slump. I can‘t focus on reading because I‘m too sad so I‘ve been watching recordings on my DVR or playing games on my phone.
Thank you for the tag @Cinfhen !!! After a last minute switcheroo (I just finished the Lily King short stories which are SO gorgeous!) I think I‘m done with my 21…. I used your idea for books by the same author counting as one pick 😉 especially as the Levy and the Thursday Murder Clubs are in the same series!💕
Not sure whose been tagged already but tagging some Littens whose lists I‘d love to see….#top21of21
My #creepychristmasswap and #bestof2021swap packages will be going out tomorrow! No matter how many boxes that I fought with today, I couldn‘t get the #bestof2021 to fit in one box 😝, so it will be in two!
Very excited to have received my #bestof2021 match this evening 😃 I‘m already deep into planning my parcel! Thanks for organising @candority
This was one of my favorite swaps last year and brought me so much joy to put together. @candority is gauging interest right now so head on over and comment if you think you might want to participate #Bestof2021
I probably have the attention span to watch Miracle Workers…
Any fans?
I seem to be obsessed with templates today.
I tried to do only one book per prompt but as the month went on, I got less picky 😅
My monthly goal was 9 books and I managed to get a whopping 20 started and finished! Great way to start the reading year.
#jumpstart2021 @Clwojick @Lizpixie
This might sound like a joke, but my word is Help! I am not good at reaching out and asking for it when I need it and I‘m going to need it this year. #Your2021Word
Happy new year and happy Hogmanay to any Scottish Littens out there! May your 2021 be free from interruptions.
2021 here we go 📚
Feel free to add me let's do this together! ♥️

Well my year in books was pretty good. I will admit I shortened my Goodreads goal just before the end knowing I wouldn't hit it but I'm still happy with this. Not sure what my goal for 2021 will be yet might try for 175.
Happy New Year everyone! 🎉🎊
@Clwojick and I have decided to bring back #JumpStart2021 this year, this time with both a photo challenge AND a bingo board! Plus it‘s running for the whole month of January. So start the year off right with getting some books off your TBR & having some fun matching books to the prompts. Happy New Year🎉🎉🎉

♥️ @Lizpixie and I decided to bring back #JumpStart2021 for a second year, but this time with a small twist! This year it‘s running for the whole month of January, and we‘ve created a photo challenge, and a bingo prompt card to go with it. However, the main goal is the same as last year. Set your annual goal, and work towards getting a good “jumpstart” by reading your little heart out. Now set those goals and have fun reading!

I really want to go into 2021 with a clean book slate, but I don‘t know if I‘m going to make it. Three books still in progress and probably 9 or 10 hours of reading in front of me. 🥺
Happy New Year‘s Eve!
