I struggled to finish this book. Months ago I cannot force myself to read the last 30-40 pages. I don't know for me it just list the sparkle.

I do quite enjoy this fantasy series. I appreciate this author and hope she comes up with more wonderful things. This is the third book in this series.

#StorySettings Day 1: Reading at the Leland #SkiResort Park in California back in early 2020. One of my great fantasy reads.
How to even put into words how much I loved this book, it is going on the Very Important Books Shelf (I know you all know what I‘m talking about.) If you haven‘t read this trilogy for god‘s sake, give yourself the gift of a long, cold Winter weekend, you will not regret it. 💜💜💜⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“The vodianoy only hissed, mouth opening wide. Vasya did not recoil, but reached out a scraped hand and touched his warty face. She said, “Listen to me and be at peace, river king.”
Vasya coming into her full powers. I am weeping, this book is so beautiful and it‘s the last one and what will I do when it ends???? 😭😭😭
Cupid spin me a fairy tale…make it a cold, dark and scary one. Make the love story a complicated and beautiful disaster fit for long and cold nights. 💘😇❄️
The Winternight Trilogy are fantasy novels I genuinely enjoyed. I seldom read this genre and I‘m grateful to have ventured on a journey that concluded with pure satisfaction and love for the characters. This is the final book of the trilogy that closes with a lot of suspense, action, and surprise. Not to mention both grief and love. This was a unique experience for me and I‘m glad I went on this adventure.

This was a pretty good ending to the Winternight trilogy! I buddy read this with @TheBookKeepers and am glad we finished the series! The Bear ended up being one of my favorite characters and I would have loved more of him in the previous books.
This book is used for #booked2023 for the Gifted by a Friend prompt, as I got this from a Christmas swap two or so years ago!

Whew, I could barely put this one down!! What a rollercoaster! I was so invested that this book gave me weird dreams last night 😂 I wasn't sure how Arden was going to pull things together in a way that made me happy but also made sense, but for the most part she did. I had a few niggles, but overall this one was definitely a pick.
I have to say that one thing that low-key annoyed me was constantly referring to the various magical creatures as⬇️
This whole trilogy is a beautiful take on Russian history and folklore, and I loved the overarching feminist theme! The books was an amazing ending and I will probably read the whole trilogy again. #12booksin2022. October pick!
❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️One of the best trilogies ever! Each book gets better and better. Just so atmospheric and beautiful, there will never be anything quite like these books

I love this article 🫖
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was hands down the best book of the entire series. “The Winter of the Witch” was utterly thrilling, heartbreaking, dark, and compelling. I loved Vasya‘s character arc and the amount of tragedy, hatred, and abuse that she endures while still not tolerating any one‘s shit is admirable. The conclusion to this series was a wild ride, and I enjoyed the plot line and its bittersweet ending.
“What use am I? None. I have made more mistakes than I can count, and the world has no place for me. And yet, as I said before, I am still not going to die to please you.”
- Vasilisa Petrovna
“There are no monsters in the world, and no saints. Only infinite shades woven into the same tapestry, light and dark. One man‘s monster is another man‘s beloved. The wise know that.”
- Medved, the Bear
I really enjoyed the whole trilogy. With every book, I found it more and more difficult to get through the portions of the books that were explanatory. I wanted to get to the ACTION! And yes, I still want to be a witch and live in the woods when I grow up. #lifegoals
What a beautiful book and the perfect ending to an enchanting series. I‘m so glad I finished 2021 with this book (I split it between my print copy and an audiobook). I think the last book of the series is my favorite, and I‘m excited to show them off on my bookshelf☺️ Wonderful winter read!

Bk12 of December & #WinterGames2021 & Bk2 of #DashingDecember #readathon is done! I‘ve had this trilogy on my TBR for ages, I‘m glad I finally got to it. Russia is a fascinating country & I absolutely love the language. This had medieval Moscow, witches, chyerti & orthodox priests. Loved it. #AVeryMerryBingo #MerryBookmas #TisTheReadson #AVeryMerryReadathon #WinterCosy #WrapItUpReadathon #Adventathon #FairyTaleathon #MistletoeManiacs 5,106pts👇
I am posting one book per day from my to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new - don‘t judge me I have a lot of books.
Join the fun if you want. This is day 315.

My evening is set.
Well that's terrifying. And to think, I was just gonna get in a quick chapter before bed 😅
DUSK AT THE END OF winter, and two men crossed the dooryard of a palace scarred by fire. #firstlinefridays
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I‘m so glad to finish this series—I loved all three books so much, and Katherine Arden is an auto-read author for me now!
I decided to try and finish some of the series I've started before beginning any new ones. I have no idea why it took me so long to get to this one. Maybe just sad that it is the end. Atmospheric and beautiful I love the portrayal of Russia and their magic and myths. Definitely one of my favourite trilogies of all time. #highlyrecommend
I have so much love for this trilogy, and book three was such a satisfying conclusion. I've read other reviews that claimed each book was better than the last and I would have to agree.

Vasya, Morozko and Medved are back in this magical book! I love everything about this series and this book was a very satisfying ending to this wonderful series.
This was an awesome conclusion to this trilogy. Vasya is such a great character. I love her. I recommend the whole trilogy.
I didn't read as many books as I originally planned in 2020 but still read some amazing books. My top 5 of 2020
1. The Winter of the Witch
2. Becoming
3. The Five
4. The Night Circus
5. The Empire of Gold
I am ending the year strong with Ian Irvine's epic fantasy which could easily take a spot in the top 5.

This trilogy was amazing! I‘m so glad I managed to get all 3 books from the library right after one another so I didn‘t have to wait. What a fitting and spectacular end. Heartbreaking and joyous at the same time.
What an amazing conclusion to a great series! The magic increases and the main character and her family are interesting and complex. A great winter time read.
Yikes. The plague is in the city and the prince is ordering that sick people quarantine in their homes, only to have people argue that they should be allowed to gather in church at least. 😬😅
“Magic makes people mad,” said the mushroom. “You change reality so much you forget what is real.”
Finished this tonight while doing dishes. I loved this series! This trilogy is on my Christmas wishlist so🤞#audiocleaning
It was a bit warmer today so I spent some time outside listening to the tagged book while Minerva wandered the yard. I‘ll miss these #audiooutings once the snow flies but I‘m looking forward to cozy winter reading & kitty snuggles on the couch 🥰
Listened to the tagged book for about an hour on this cool & windy but sunny #autumn afternoon while Minerva prowled the yard. #catsoflitsy #readingbuddy

I love this trilogy so much and this was such a good cap to it. Vasya learns more about herself and her place in the world while trying to keep her family safe and the land of her people together. So good.
