While I enjoyed the premise and idea of this book, it was unfortunately so drawn out. There was really no reason this book couldn‘t have been 250 pages instead of the 433 pages, which is the reason I‘m giving it a so-so instead of a thumbs up. The writing was very clever, and I particularly loved the use of footnotes throughout the story.
Love this! Really enjoying the romance books at the moment. Kinsella is a fav 😍
Happily Ever After is never guaranteed in real life. Which is why I loved this book. Even though the story had some hiccups and certain characters I still didn‘t like. I still feel like the author did this story justice. The fact that she ended it with we don‘t know what‘s gonna happen with the couple but that‘s life! 💖4/5💖
Poppy Wyatt is simply stupid! She‘s annoyingly “naive?” Or just plain stupid. What grown woman puts stickers on her phone? She‘s not at all endearing and yet I‘m sucked in and that‘s the Kinsella talent. I find myself listening to this more than Kinsella‘s The Wedding Night.
Poppy has lost her engagement ring, which is a precious family heirloom from her fiancé, and is on a mission to find it. Not only is her ring gone but now her phone is stolen!
She luckily finds a phone tossed away in a nearby trashcan (who throws away a working cell phone?) but the phone‘s owner, Sam, wants it back as it was a work phone.
The unraveling of events in one afternoon is truly hilarious. Will Poppy get her happily ever after?
I usually love Kinsella for a light, fun read, but I just couldn‘t with this one! There were actual footnotes! Footnotes. 🤦🏻♀️ I can see how and why footnotes are useful in reference or nonfiction, but in fiction (esp. chick lit), I don‘t need it. It‘s really not a necessity. Just no. #DNF
#bookspinbingo - I know I won‘t get a book read tomorrow as it‘s gonna be a busy day, so sadly no bingo this month, but still lots of reading got done!
This was an interesting read. The constant dialogue was hard to get use to and the main character seemed to be on a 20 cup espresso caffeine high. I didn't find it funny, more annoying at times. There was an odd pull to keep reading so that intrigued me.

Wow, so many mixed feelings on this one! So the pros: this was fun! The concept was fun, Poppy was very likable, there's plenty of fun banter and awkward situations. The cons: Poppy lies to/hides things from her fiance and is basically emotionally cheating on him, and that's never really addressed. It felt like there was a real double standard where the guy was a jerk for flirting with other women, but Poppy thought it was okay for her to be ⬇️
Ever read a book that you WANT to like and actually DO like except at the same time the main character is STRESSING YOU OUT SO HARD?! I like Poppy a lot but she is seriously giving me a nervous breakdown!!
June 26, 2020 I would not really recommend this one. I thought it was so so. 3/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
The story is based on a highly unusual but interesting premise, a cell phone shared by two strangers where the woman becomes the man‘s unpaid meddling personal assistant of sorts. They end up helping each other as she learns to become a tad more assertive, like him, and he learns...to use emojis, like her. #SnarkyButSeriously
A light read/listen, which is what I have gravitated towards lately. #Pandemic #LibraryBook #Audiobook

June 21, 2020 Hello all!!! Happy 2nd day of summer. Summer has officially arrived and my other books have officially arrived. The weird thing that has been happening to me whenever i order books from Amazon rather than buying them at a bookstore is that the books are separated into different orders. Anyways, I've Got Your Number is pretty good. The ones this time are all fiction books, however i bought two more thriller books of course. 😍
June 19, 2020 First of all, Happy Juneteenth everyone!! Welcome to my Litsy account if you are new. It is a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for following me. Anyway, I am reading this book now. I bought four other books (there will be another picture with this book included). I like this book so far by Sophie Kinsella. We will see if she impresses me at the end. I know she has written more but I am not sure if I will buy anymore of her books. 👍🏻
Hmm, not sure if I've found a perfect match for myself but I think I'd say Poppy Wyatt from I've Got Your Number 🤔 what about you?
This was a great read. Sweet. Funny. Well written.
This grabbed me in the first paragraph and was hard to put down. I ended up reading the whole thing in two sittings! I am ordering more of Sophie‘s books! Hilarious!
Throughout this book so far it‘s been reminding me of Bridget Jones‘s and this is honestly exactly like a scene in the film, this book has actually had me laughing out loud which never happens!!
I graduate tomorrow and need something to calm the nerves this is definitely doing the trick and it‘s hilarious but god is it giving me so much second hand embarrassment for the main character, exactly what I need 😂👩🏻🎓
Sophie Kinsella is always a good choice for a quick, light read, and this was no different. Nothing super deep (and mostly predictable) but an entertaining palette cleanser 😊
I *rarely* get out of the house early on Saturday mornings, but today I have my first personal training session (eep!). It must have scrambled my brain bc I accidentally left the house without my Kindle (double eep!) and didn't realize it until I got to the subway. Luckily, the Kindle app works great for these types of emergencies, so I'm grabbing a few min of solace with my book on the Highline before popping over to the gym 😆
Another show means listening to more audiobooks while driving to and from the theatre. What are your favorite listens for long drives?
Ready for something fluffy after two heavy/emotional reads!
Humorous and fun to read/listen. This, too, surprisingly starts with a lost engagement ring. Satisfying end.
Such a fun, light read. Kinsella writes rom com magic. Those crazy awkward scenes just make you laugh and cringe all at the same time. Xoxoxo!

I loved this book! One of my new favorites. I already can‘t wait to read it again and fall in love with the characters all over. It‘s also one of the only books to make me laugh out loud. I highly recommend it.

When the MC finds a mobile phone in a rubbish bin it leads her to meddling in the owners love life and to complications in her own. Sophie Kinsella writes delightfully fluffy romantic comedies, this is no exception.
So this book was so good! The first quarter of the book was meh but once I got through that I had to stay awake to see how it all turned out!
I like to make sure that I keep enough TBR books on my Kindle to keep me safe if there‘s ever a drought of books or something. 😉 Here‘s a few that I picked up on sale today. A couple of them even had an optional Audible deal attached as well. 📚 #BookHaul #BookSale #Kindle
I loaned the audiobook version for this one and I really enjoyed it. It was my first time listening to an audiobook. 🙂
It was funny, cute, and an easy read. The main character is getting married and she lost her ring and then her phone. We follow her journey to found her ring and she founds a lost phone which belongs to a company and keeps it. She then, start communicating with Sam the owner of the company lost phone.
Kicking off #mounttbrreadathon with this. Anyone else participating? I‘m hoping to get the 6 or so library books that are due Monday read this weekend. Anyone else have unrealistic reading goals this weekend?
So I woke up to some exciting news this morning. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have set a date and guess when they‘re getting married? On my birthday (May 19th)! I‘m super stoked about that. In other news, this is a picture of one of my favorite books. This is hands down my favorite Sophie Kinsella book.

QOTD: When is your birthday?
This was so cute .. the plot flows smoothly and the writing it cutesy and funny .. the characters develop nicely and are totally loveable :) 4.5 stars
I loved this book. Fun easy reading with a story line that made me giggle out loud. Surprises in the plot and good character development. Not a book that is life changing, but a good summer read. Excellent audiobook.
Nothing better than a really good chicklit to cheer u up. Sophie kinsella does it in style. Have loved this one so much that I can just waltz through the entire book by reading the back and forth text messages between Sam and Poppy.
My first Kinsella. 💗💜💙❤️💕💗💜XXXXX!!! I need more ASAP! This one was because of #osrbc when I asked about #screwballcomedy #romantsy #romcom
Waiting to board my plane - this book is making me laugh out loud. People are looking 😂#laughoutloud #romantsy #airportreading #chicklit
Was craving a little more Sophie Kinsella , so downloaded a few. I am all about the chick lit right now.
I decided to have shashuka for lunch today, with a side of #SophieKinsella. That's right, folks. I'm officially hooked. 🙃 #chicklit #currentlyreading
P.s. that's a library copy
I've been in quite the reading funk. Everything I usually read is full of beautiful paragraphs, deep musings, and usually a little despair. My roomie came to the rescue with a few books I wouldn't have pickedm
So last night I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning finishing this fun, wonky gem. It was the perfect escape from all of my real world problems.
I really need to remember that reading is supposed to be fun, not a struggle.
Enjoyed this book. It is a good read if you are looking for a light-hearted contemporary romance!
