King of Scars | Leigh Bardugo

This book kept my attention so well. I loved going between the stories (even if it was hard to have a pause on one story to continue the other). AND THAT ENDING?! I couldn‘t believe & I can‘t believe it‘s not over. Part of me is grieving the fact that the end of my journey to the Grishaverse is coming to an end while the other part is ecstatic that I‘ve been able to see so many different parts of this world. I can‘t wait to see how it ends.

The ending to Six of Crows, wow. Obsessed with these characters and this story. I won‘t lie, it took me awhile to get into it after finishing Six of Crows. While the story is slower, the character development, world building & overall story made it worth it. Can‘t wait to continue my journey in the Grishaverse with King of Scars next.

This book has made me feel SO much that I can‘t help but appreciate how beautifully written it was. If it wrapped up perfectly, it wouldn‘t make sense for these characters or this story. Incredible world building and beautiful characters who are flawed, traumatized, and masterfully skilled. While I need a slight break after this ending, I can‘t wait to continue with Crooked Kingdom! Definitely a new favorite book for me.

While I really enjoyed this book for the world development, dialogue, and especially Snow‘s inner thoughts, it was just such a slow pace. There was so much nothing happening that it just dragged with most of my motivation to finish it my desire to watch the movie. It all came together for me at the end but I‘d give it 3.5 stars overall. I will say it made me want to reread the Hunger Games trilogy now that I have more insight into Snow.

Beautiful trilogy. I was slightly disappointed at the ending at first, but the more I think about it, the more poetic it feels and the more appreciative I am for how it‘s ended. I love the world that was created, the growth all characters showed, and everything in between. This trilogy made me feel so much and I‘m so excited to dive more into the Grishaverse and explore different parts of the world with the remaining books. It‘s a pick from me.

I'm Glad My Mom Died | Jennette McCurdy

Grew up a Jennette McCurdy fan from iCarly then lost interest in her career after the Sam and Cat spin off didn‘t do well. I loved this book. She‘s so vulnerable and hearing the memories from her childhood made me really feel for her. It was a little slow to start but I enjoyed her writing style and the way she told her story. Great read, definitely recommend!

Okay, so don‘t get me wrong. I really liked this book & might want to read it again, mainly because their relationship felt so authentic. But it just seemed kinda slow for me & then just kinda became a romance out of nowhere. I don‘t know how to explain it exactly. It was so so good & I really enjoyed it but something was just off. I wish I had more words to explain it better but I‘d give it a shot if you‘re into romance.

Obsessed with this book. Romance and dogs, what more could you ask for? I think what I fell in love with the most was how open and honest the characters were with themselves and each other. Love this couple & will definitely be re-reading plenty of times.

I really enjoyed the writing style & story of this book. The characters were so likeable & not everything was sugary sweet. The one thing that bothered me was that you know everything from the first chapter. You know the main characters pasts & who the killer is but after that, it‘s a slow journey through everything even though you have all the info already. So that was frustrating but still worth the read if you ask me.

Mehso-so

This was my second Julie Garwood book and while I liked it, I wasn‘t obsessed with it like I was with Sweet Talk. While I loved the characters, the romance was so frustrating. It felt like a lot was left unsaid between the two constantly & while it was resolved for them, it didn‘t feel resolved for me. & while the cyber unit & her mind was incredibly written, it felt like a rush ending.
Overall, a good book with irritating qualities.

I became so obsessed with this book! It had everything I love & I was dying to know what happened with each chapter. It‘s part of a series & while you don‘t need to read the others first, it‘d help with background of characters & past cases plus, it kinda ties loose ends with the past books so I‘d recommend it even if I didn‘t do it. Absolutely love the way it was written. I can‘t wait to read the series from the beginning & more from this author!

Remember Me? | Sophie Kinsella

Another Sophie Kinsella. I love the way she writes. While this one wasn‘t as good as the other Kinsella book I read, it was a light-hearted & funny read that I enjoyed. It took me a few chapters to get into the story but I ended up really enjoying it & loving the characters.

This was a find at the library & I became so obsessed with it that I finished it in a day. I love a good romance along with a good thriller & this book tied them both together beautifully. I‘m just upset I don‘t own it because I know I‘m gonna have to buy it & add it to my collection. Definitely one of my favorites!

The Captives: A Novel | Debra Jo Immergut
Bailedbailed

This book was not for me. I didn‘t even want to finish it. I liked the writing style but the story was so drawn out. I couldn‘t tell where it was going and it took forever to get to the point. Maybe it‘s just me, but I just wasn‘t feeling it.

I loved this book! One of my new favorites. I already can‘t wait to read it again and fall in love with the characters all over. It‘s also one of the only books to make me laugh out loud. I highly recommend it.

Lady.Literary I loved this one! The first Kinsella book I have read! 6y
