I think this is the closest I‘ve cut it for completing my good reads challenge on the last day of the year 😂
I think this is the closest I‘ve cut it for completing my good reads challenge on the last day of the year 😂
Been so bad at reading this month it‘s seems that whenever I have more time to read is when I read the least 😅
Just starting this really want to get into some good zombie reads considering the walking dead is my favourite show zombies are something I never read about! 😁🤞
Looks like I‘m going to be let go from my job for the 2nd time this year due to covid this arriving today and some comfort watching Gilmore girls has been the only thing to cheer me up a bit today can‘t wait for things to start getting better 😢
This was so interesting, it was an individuals story of what the war was like for them but had lots of useful information about the time and the events leading up to the war, I‘ll never understand why highschools don‘t use things like this to help understand events in history as for me the lessons were just really intense memory tests without real understanding of what happened the second I got out of my exams I forgot everything.
Thanks for the tag @SW-T #thankfulthursday
1. Not too much will change really I don‘t usually do much i like spending it inside cozy reading Halloweeny books or a good film
2. I‘m grateful for the Litsy community i hadn‘t been reading for quite a while and there is nothing more encouraging than this positive space to get you excited about books! 🥰
@Cosmos_Moon
1. Yeah not a orange and autumnal as I would like though 🍁
2. No real favourite but autumn does put me in more of a baking mood, I love making carrot cakes
3. Hoping to finish up re-reading the rest of the infernal devices and am hoping to finally get to midnight sun.
Thanks for the tag @Sace

I took my time getting through this one but oh my god I loved it so much it‘s really encouraged me to continue on trying classics the writing was so easy to follow and the story is amazing!! 😊
Autumn shelves!! 🎃 gonna have a good go at finishing Rebecca before the month is over so I can hopefully get to some spooky reads 😬
I think I‘m realising I‘m more character based than plot, although I love an exciting plot if I can‘t connect to the characters I find it really hard to get into a book which was the case with this one unfortunately 🤷🏻♀️
Well that‘s any reading for the night out the window 😬
I usually put off watching a film when I find out it‘s a book until I‘ve read it but I think I‘m just gonna watch this one tonight I‘m excited for it!!!
Definitely more of a summer person but hopefully some good reading and tv can get me into spooky season!!!
“The victims of Jack the Ripper were never 'just prostitutes'; they were daughters, wives, mothers, sisters, and lovers. They were women. They were human beings, and surely that in itself is enough.”
Torn between Halloween and buying new summer clothes 🎃😰
Getting into the autumn spirit!!
I need one!! 😰😱 I also need not to get sucked into a rewatch of Gilmore girls with so many unfinished tv shows and books on the go!!
Hopefully this one can get me out of the slump 🤞
I thought I‘d find this more interesting having loved Jane Eyre so much but I really disliked this book unfortunately 😰
Finally recovering from a 2 month book slump 😬
#booked2019 @Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft Irish author prompt- finally finished a season of the booked challenges yay! I went with an audiobook for my first Maeve Binchy and I really enjoyed it I wish it was just all the first story as a full book instead of moving onto other short stories at the end, I think I will try more from this author though.
5⭐️ how is this band not real!! I just want to know what their songs sound like, I loved this book god knows why I put it off for so long.
How have I still not read this I need to remember that my physical books don‘t have a time limit like library ones 😂, this is now officially my top priority!!
#booked2019 Prompt 19- Book about addiction @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft @Cinfhen
Only at the halfway point and I‘m seriously wondering how he is still alive never mind managing to become a hugely successful musician
Although I enjoyed this I can‘t see me reading the 2nd book 3⭐️ really liked the concept and how realistic it felt as an apocalyptic-type situation
I‘ve only managed 4 prompts between July- Sept but they‘ve just been by chance so I‘m pretty pleased think I‘ll be able to check off another one soon as well I‘m gonna try and put in some effort for these last months 🤞#booked2019 @Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft
Just realised this one counts for public domain yay! #booked2019 @Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft
Me after finishing little women and realising the edition I have is only part one. I seriously spent the last third of the book worrying about the huge amount of plot yet to happen and the severe lack of pages left to read!! I‘m an idiot 😂🤦🏻♀️
So far everyone in this book is a big idiot but at the same time I‘m like oooh what are the idiots gonna do next 😬
I love these penguin English library editions so much I don‘t think I‘ve read one classic this year so I need to get on that 🤞
5⭐️ could definitely see myself re-reading this when I need a bit of motivation, hopefully this can give me a push to run outside 😬
3 stars I enjoyed this one but although I haven‘t read many thrillers every time I read them I seem to have some unreachable plot twist standards that can never be met. Is it too much to ask, all I want is the most shocking plot twist ever that I can‘t see coming but that makes complete sense at the same time 😂
Part 3 physical tbr- I‘ve been focused on library books lately because I know my own books aren‘t going anywhere which has been really good in stopping me buying books, but after doing this my goal is to find a good balance between library books and my reducing my own tbr.
Physical tbr part 2- hopefully this can push me to focus on my own books a bit I might try this again in a few months to see if there‘s much difference 🤞
All the blank spines are books on my physical tbr that I haven‘t read yet 😬 I wanted to see what it actually looks like not to bad so far. Part 1
What a book to reach my goodreads challenge with I loooooooved this so much so many teary moments and I would definitely recommend the audiobook with Michelle Obama‘s narration it made it even more special to read 5/5⭐️
Comic book prompt- this is the 3rd in the series and these are the only comic/ graphic novels I‘ve ever tried I need to explore the format more because so far I‘m thinking it may not be for me, plus with this I have a hard time separating it from the show 🤔 #booked2019 @Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft
Throughout this book so far it‘s been reminding me of Bridget Jones‘s and this is honestly exactly like a scene in the film, this book has actually had me laughing out loud which never happens!!
I graduate tomorrow and need something to calm the nerves this is definitely doing the trick and it‘s hilarious but god is it giving me so much second hand embarrassment for the main character, exactly what I need 😂👩🏻🎓
I still don‘t fully get the prompt for genrebusting if this counts or not but it‘s sort of a fantasy, historical fiction/ romance with lots of unanswered questions and a timeline that‘s all over the place but either way I really liked it and loved the characters. @Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft #booked2019 #summer #genrebusting
Definitely not as good as the show this had made me reminiscing though, mostly on Blair‘s outfits which meant apparently for some reason when I was searching it on Pinterest I kept typing Gossip Gorl by accident so I had to know if there‘s a Gru meme and of course there is it‘s the internet 😂
This book is not great so far but I needed a quick, fun read and this is basically the only thing I could think of doing to stop me rewatching the show when I‘m already watching too many things 😰
I take back what I said about not liking Eleanor I feel bad now, this book was amazing once I got into the second half I just took too long reading the first half my bad Eleanor please forgive me 😂
