I haven't been active but I have been reading like mad!
I've been meaning to get to this one for a long time. I love Kagawa's writing and this was quite well done. A little different than I thought and Megan is not my favourite type of heroine but a solid series start and enough to make me excited about getting to the rest

I have a dilemma. Which one do I want to read?
These two keep grabbing my eye when I look at my shelves but it's an equal eye-grab. So not fair. Someone pick for me 🤣

A slightly blurry part 2 of Christmas books. We caved and just opened everything tonight 😂 The Iron King was an unexpected gift from my sister, and I think I might tackle that first! #christmasbookhaul
Reread! The last time I read was 2011 so it almost felt like reading a new book again, revisiting all of the little details that make this world fun. Meghan travels to the Nevernever to rescue her brother who has been kidnapped, finding out along the way she isn‘t who she thinks she is. Lots of fun nods to Shakespeare‘s Midsummer Night‘s Dream. Great characters, especially Meghan‘s best friend Puck. Great audiobook too, narrated by Khristine Hvam.
Remember that time I met Julie Kagawa ?! What a moment! She was so kind and even signed a poster to hang in my classroom :)
I read a later book in this series years ago, and I've been meaning to read the first book since then. I quite liked it and look forward to reading the rest of the series. It has an interesting blend of old faery tales with new elements. The “Iron Fey“ are a new type of faery, immune to iron, that are taking on the Seelie and Unseelie kingdoms.
This book is a tad too fairy-ish fantasy for me, but still a cute read that had some cool aspects to it. I liked the literal use of the modern world being an enemy within the fantasy/dream world, it created a bit more depth which is always a plus.
Overall, not a bad read, I just wish I had read it when I was a little younger.
Just finished this first installment and I must say I enjoyed it. I like the world and the fey. The last battle felt a little quick yet not super fast. I will be checking out the next book for sure
Thank you so much Jess! @Endowarrior21 for my first Holiday card for Christmas! I do love blue!. Very Potter themed, and did I mention somewhere Ron was my favorite? Because he is!
I am so thankful, I rescued this card from the cold mail box today ^^
“At first, I planned to hole up in the bathroom until school ended. But, if anyone missed me from class, this would be the first place they‘d look. So, I finally gathered the courage to tiptoe down to the #nurse‘s office and fake a horrid stomachache so I could hide out there.” #QuotsyNov18
Sorry! This is the first book of the series. Faeries. Winter princes and young romance are the makings of a great book. Good series!
This book is so amazing so far. I almost hate to put it down so I can sleep!
I wish a man would hold me like this when I'm having a bad day!
Change in plans. I'm starting the Iron Fey series!!!
I‘d love to read the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa.
Thanks @Slajaunie for doing this fun giveaway. 😀
What are some of your favorite books with fae in them? I really need to finish this series. #lovereading #bookworm #totalbooknerd #yalit #bookphotography #booklove

Time to explore new genre "Elfpunk". Book riot link has some cool recommendations.
Lovely cover. The book? Meh. One-dimensional protagonist, who also happens to be the narrator, which makes for fairly frustrating reading. World building takes a bit to develop, but after that not bad. Loved the fairy prince... but not the love triangle.
I‘m a sucker for stories involving Faerie lands and fae characters, but I wouldn‘t particularly recommend this one. Also, it‘s one of those YA books that read on the younger side.
Trying to read with a dog on my stomach 😂

3.5/5 🌟
This was good book but the story was familiar at times. I read a lot of fantasy books so I wasn't surprise.
It still was a unique, fun, interesting and funny adventure.
The story also made me think of Alice In Wonderland.
Been meaning to get into this series for a while. It made me very nostalgic of all the YA fantasy I read in high school, and I love that. The fairy mythology was great and I definitely want more exploration of it all in future books. The concept of technology meeting mythology in terms of fairies was awesome and very well done. Overall, a fun read!
Trying to read and Ollivander is yet again requiring my full attention
@Gissy, your generosity is amazing! The books sound great, the peony cup & candle are precious, I love the bookish coasters, & PR 🇵🇷 print. The necklace reminds me of The Little Prince & Narnia! I love to write ‘Happy Reading‘ like what‘s on the bag! The verse on the bike coaster reminds me of your positivity! Thx!!! One of my favorite books. If you're into fantasy, you'll like fantasy. Fun and easy to follow along.
Meh. I probably will read the rest of the series, even though i wasn't too crazy about this first book. I wish there was more development.
I loved this book ❤️Reminded me of Enid Blyton's Enchanted Wood and Faraway Tree except for teens. If this is supposedly the weakest in the series then I guess I'm in for a treat!
New books & comics!!! ♡ #AudreyWait #IronKing #IronFey #JulieKagawa #RobinBenway #DC #DCcomics #Batgirl #BirdsofPrey #books #YAbooks
My current read 😊📚
I FOUND IT!!
It was on one of my bookshelves hidden in one of the many stacks.
Thankful for all of you who understand my emotional attachment to an e-reader! 😂
Love love love this dark and treacherous Netherworld where the Fae may or may not be your friend. A beautifully landscaped world of the Fair people Their homes and customs, and the dangers faced by Megan as she is drawn into this captivating place are rich and entertaining
I'm about 100 pages into this book and I'm seeing a TON of similarities between TIK and ACOTAR. I'm not a huge fan of the writing style but it's also from the same era of YA as TVD and Shiver so I can't judge it too harshly. Overall a decent read and great for fans of Alice in Wonderland!
I ended up really loving this book. I found it a bit slow in the beginning and I really had to push myself to read it, however when I did get into it I did love it. I can't wait to read the next one
While I usually don't like to tell someone what they should and shouldn't read, if you are looking for a fun YA series with some supernatural elements to it, I would definitely recommend the Iron Fae series or the Tiger's Curse series over Twilight. They are both unique, well-written series with characters you want to root for. Several in both series end on #cliffhangers too. #readthisnotthat #maybookflowers
My life, in tea form. I've missed Litsy! My anxiety has been giving me hell as of late, and I always forget how much the people and posts on here make me smile. ☺️💗Rereading a fave series at the moment.
My little princess Noël and the royal #tbr I found this morning. Other #royals not pictured: Prince Ali & Josie the Queen of Everything! ?????? #lyricalapril
For today's prompt #royals I thought I would go a different route and highlight Fairy Royalty. This was a fun #YA series I especially enjoyed the nod to Shakespeare's fairy world. It was easy to fall into this story. #readjanuary (Of course Sawyer here is the true royalty in our house. #dogsoflitsy)
I love this book! This is the second time I have read this series and still love every bit of it. If you love stories of fae, romance, adventure then you will love this book! @bibliophaddict #theaddictedbibliophile #ashismy💗 @theaddictedbibliophile
