It‘s Friday! Time to kick off my shoes and start a new book. I don‘t know anything about this one but it‘s beautiful and I‘m excited.

Why so low?

1. So cliché. You could look up the definition of cliché and find this book there.
2. Such a possessive love interest (liked that the protagonist was wearing a sweater so no one else could see “his” shoulders.
3. Went from hating each other to engaged in like 3.4 seconds

Starting a new review series called “Revealing Romances” where I read romance novels with covers that we avoid, believing they‘re “trash” because of their name or cover. My idea is to review these books so you don‘t have to judge them by their covers but can see if their embarrassing titles or covers are worth getting past. My first is a fairly well known romance, Wallbanger. #RevealingRomances #CoupleofReviews

Definitely my favourite Christmas gift. I got a Kindle Paperwhite from my wonderful fiancé and some new books of my choice to read on it (The Wee Free Men, My Favourite Half Night Stand and An Ember in the Ashes). I know I will prefer this to reading on my iPad! #Kindle #Christmas

So I tend to really enjoy Maas‘s stories once I‘ve gotten into them, but man can her writing drive me crazy! How can the water taste new and ancient? Also I‘m sure ancient water tastes bad, not good. It just makes me think of stale water. And why doesn‘t her editor pick up some of this stuff? Do they just go “yeah this sounds pretty” and that‘s that? Love the stories, don‘t love the nonsensical descriptions.

While I rest and relax and watch Big Bang Theory. I thought I would quickly review this book.

I honestly don‘t understand the hype around this book. It doesn‘t really go anywhere nor make much sense so I really wouldn‘t recommend it. I didn‘t find it deep or touching or moving or anything. It was just about a spoiled rich lady hooked on way too many drugs.

This holiday season I haven‘t read much. In fact all I‘ve read in December was a Christmas novella I found on the Audible Romance package. I‘ve mostly been hanging out with my favourite triplets (aka working) and binging Grey‘s Anatomy (5 Seasons in a month, #noshame). The last few days before Christmas I plan to change that by having my own mini #readathon. On the list: Dracul, My Year of Rest and Relaxation, Elantris and The Wee Free Men

Ok so the author is my fiancé @chikin511 (Christian Hanna, he independently published a book called Eleven Stars, you should look it up on Amazon Kindle!) but I‘m still counting it. Also I‘m marking 50 books read because I‘m on 46 and I will reach 50 by the end of 2018.

I hate the second books in series. That‘s why I struggle to finish series in general. But with my new series bingo I‘m determined and I‘m almost halfway through this.

My first #hellosunshine book club read. The narrator is amazing, I could listen to her all day. The writing is beautiful, it makes me feel peaceful. I am going to finish this one quickly.

@chikin511 and I read Harry Potter and the Philosopher‘s Stone several months ago. Last night we decided to finish the series together before the wedding. We added up all the chapters of the last 6 books and realised there were exactly as many pages as there were days until we got married.
