I‘m looking for the following books for a challenge:

A book where the mc or his/her friend can fly (unassisted)
A book with an egg on the cover or where character eats an egg
A book with a nest on the cover
A book with a character named Taylor (any spelling)

Thanks Litsy Friends!

🇨🇦 So I live in the US, but my company is getting some business in Canada and I'm going to be the manager for the people we hire that live/work there. Realizing I know NOTHING really about Canada except how great Trudeau seems.

Any book recs? Looking for nonfiction or fiction but I'd like to read things that give me a feel for the culture & history. 🇨🇦

TheKidUpstairs I love Michael Ondaatje, and this one is focused on Toronto and the immigrants who helped build it. Ann absolutely beautiful book (fiction) 7y
SarahSaysRead @TheKidUpstairs Yay! I'll look for that one and take any others you have 😉 7y
TheKidUpstairs A tough read, but so important to or country right now 7y
TheKidUpstairs Not a book (yet), but Desmond Cole's long form article The Skin I'm In is a powerful and important read on race relations in Canada (Toronto specifically) and the issue of Police carding. 7y
TheKidUpstairs Sorry to bombard your feed! What part of Canada will you be working with? We're a pretty spread out country, so I can target further recs if you want them! 7y
SarahSaysRead @TheKidUpstairs I love it, thank you!!! All over, so far we got hires in NS, ON, and AB. (I work for a staff/contracting agency, on a national account). HOPEFULLY I'll be making trips up in the next few months but that'll probably be closer to the NY / Canada border. 7y
