Book package today ☺️
Got a fantasy book recommended by my brother, and my next installment of Saga.
But why is the fantasy paperback book the same size as the comic book volume? Paperbacks are commonly 1/3rd this size 🤔 This book is huge! 😆

“I‘ll just snooze while you read, mom.” 🐾
I‘m in the mood for a chunky fantasy series, so taking a little break from Christmas reads tonight and finally diving into this!
I DID IT! I FINALLY COMPLETED MY REREAD OF THE STORMLIGHT ARCHIVE SERIES! 🥳🎉🎉🎉 I reread books 1-4 plus the two novellas! And it's perfect timing because book 5 comes out on Friday! I'm SO excited! 💕📚
FYI!
Just saw Brandon Sanderson posted this on his Instagram!
This may p*** people off so here I go… the only characters I really liked and kept me interested was bridge 4 specifically Kaladin and Syl… the rest I read to get back to bridge 4 …the writing was elaborated to an extent that was not needed but is understandable.. I am a huge fan of Steven Erikson and was hoping I would feel the same way about Brandon Sanderson‘s books :( I don‘t but because the writing is okay and I loved bridge 4 I‘ll read more
Back home and I made it to pg 709 so I‘m over the hump but still have plenty of pages left 👀🙌🏽
What better thing for a road trip than a thousand page book to pass the time?
So I did something 🤦🏼♀️ I counted my tbr … 229 books … I don‘t know why but i cleaned all my shelves because im trying to make room for …. Yes you guessed it more books 🤦🏼♀️ I have two tbr shelves in my room and the books on the floor are in my office the floor books may not be on my shelf‘s after I read them as a few I‘ve tried to read and become stuck… so yea great Monday for me… and there‘s books I want guess I‘ll wait until
Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination
When you think your making progress and you not really because there‘s 1256 pages and you‘re only on page 218 👀📖
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I truly do not know who Brandon Sanderson thinks he is. This book was massive - 45 hours on the audiobook! - and all I could think when I finished it was “I‘m so glad there‘s more!”
His pacing is some of the best I‘ve ever read and he builds these worlds, people groups, magic systems in ways that are so easy to read.
Very, very impressive.
Here I am, trying Litsy‘s web option to show you the third wooden puzzle I did while I listened to THE WAY OF KINGS. This one‘s destined for my dad, who collects small vehicles. He doesn‘t have a balloon yet.
The browser option IS clunkier than the app, especially for photo editing. Please release an iOS 18-compatible update soon, Litsy!
I found this wooden cello puzzle the day after I did the Big Ben one, and I worked it up while I continued my audio WAY OF KINGS reread. It was quick and fun, and now I‘ve gotta decide who to give it to. I don‘t think I know any hardcore cello enthusiasts.
I‘ve also gotta find other things to do while I listen to the last 30% of the book, because now I‘m all out of wooden puzzles. On to regular jigsaw puzzles, I guess? #audiocrafting
I got an express audio copy of THE WAY OF KINGS, which is a LOT to listen to in one week, which is why I‘ve done three wooden puzzles in the last three days and also scrubbed the whole kitchen.
This light-up Big Ben (& associated tower) went to my mum, who‘s mighty taken with it. #audiocrafting
I am loving this book. I find myself reading more slowly than I normally do just so I don't miss anything.
HELP! This book is 1,252 pages. Actually it's more than that but it's 1,252 pages of actual book text, so closer to 1,300 total pages between the covers. I'm really struggling to open the book enough to read the bits in the crease. I even tried breaking the spine. But there's SO MUCH spine. Ugh. Is there a better way to hold it and access all the text without struggling on each page??
Started my reread of the Stormlight Archive a couple of days ago.
This year we finally have a mild spring. The magnolia is blooming beautifully and is not getting frozen mid bloom like the last couple of years.
I tried hard to stick with this one but gave up at 8%. I'm not a big fan of medieval historical and/or high fantasy, both themes this story meanders down. I don't have any patience for damsels and the introduction of such as the secondary protagonist, I was done.
This was my third try reading this book however that‘s not an indication that this book is hard to read. This book is a huge commitment seeing that the books within the series are of similar if not longer in length. With that being said if you are a fantasy reader you should not sleep on this one. Written from myriad of perspectives from scholar to slave to high prince, the world they live in is on its way to great changes.
That moment when a book is so chonky that you have to split it into manageable 100 page chonks to make reading it feel possible. Hopefully I‘ll get so deep that the chonkiness will become irrelevant, but until then… 100 pages a day
I know I've technically got ten more minutes until 2024, but I'm starting this a tad bit early! 🤭 And so behind my great Sanderson re-read! 💕📚💕 I'm super excited!
Because Sanderson is releasing Book 5 of this series next year, I decided to do a reread of the first four books before it comes out! Am I crazy? Yes! Am I still going to try? Also yes! 😂 Even though there are going to be ten books in the series all together, this fifth book will be the last book in the current story arc, so it's a really big deal! 🥰 The next five books after this one will feature new characters and set in different time period!
Listening to the #Audiobook borrowed from #Libby.
I had to check the book out a second time, because the first three weeks I only listened to half the book - 22.5 hours. Now I have three weeks to finish!
Love how Libby remembered where I left off and I didn‘t have to toggle to find my place.
I am so hooked; I‘m invested in the characters and what happens to them! Knowing it‘s a series, I hope at least one character gets more of a happy ending.
Wow!!! I was hooked through the entire book and so surprised at the ending!! The complexity of the characters and the changes they go through is very relatable.

Almost forgot to post my final #ReadingBracket2022
For a while there I was thinking it's gonna be hard deciding which would be my favourite 😉
My December #WrapUp
📚Whenever I read Epic/High Fantasy I need to go slower so just 5 books for this month.
🌟 Favourite:
The Way of Kings
A Christmas Carol (always 💖)
👎🏻And I didn't had any books I disliked this month.
I'm so happy to have finished the first Stormlight Archive book 🤩 I see now why it's such a hyped book.
I mean… it‘s not like I wasn‘t reading that or anything🤦🏻♀️😆😸 #hesactuallymycat #finankitten #catsoflitsy
Now that I have finished two (😅) books this week I figured I should dive into this bad boy when camping this weekend! Not too far in but it‘s already a stunning read!
Thank you for this #LittensWantToKnow @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks 😁
I would love to see Brandon Sanderson‘s “Stormlight Archive” on either the big or small screen. With weapons and armor made of glowing metal, magic giving people the ability to fly or craft illusions, and fairy-like spren manifesting for all sorts of emotions and elements, this would be breathtaking to see in a visual medium! 🤩 Something tells me @Branwen will back me up on this!
First step into the world of #BrandonSanderson and it‘s easy to see what all the hype is about. I have some problems with the narrators but the story is good enough to get over it, 😂 Anyone else reading Way of Kings?
#AlphabetGame @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
#LetterW
The Way of Kings is my favorite book starting with the letter "W".
Other favorites are:
We Are Legion by Dennis E. Taylor
A Whisper of Sorrows by J. D. Kirk
The Wise Man' Fear by Brandon Sanderson
Yeah, just sum up and review the longest novel you've ever read in 450 characters, they said. It'll be easy, they said.
It's really freaking good, but I'm very glad I'd already read four other cosmere books and spent two months reading this one instead of trying to brute-force my way through. It's a read that rewards time.
I absolutely LOVED this book so much! Bridge Four is EVERYTHING! I was so invested in the characters even from the beginning! Off to read book 2 as I need more!
Read this one because my adult son & daughter-in-law really like it. I don‘t usually like fantasy books, but this is an exception for me. It is LONG, but I found it engaging. Will need to catch my breath before delving into the next in the series, but plan on reading it. I switched between the audiobook and kindle version. The narration of the audiobook is very good.
So, I‘m a day late with my wrap up post because……well…..I didn‘t realize May had ended. A lot of stuff happened in May, but it still felt like it flew by. But it was a good reading month. I finally feel like I‘m out of my slump. Plus, I read a lot of books that I enjoyed. I don‘t think I gave anything less that four stars. But The Way of Kings stole the show. It‘s a new favorite for sure.
Did you find a new favorite this month?
Couldn‘t get into it - only made it a few chapters. it just felt like so many other books I‘ve read recently, the plot, the setting, the characters, I‘ve read it all before. Perhaps I‘ll try again
Started reading this after hearing so many people rave about the stormlight archive series. It‘s really good so far, just a lot of mechanics to take in and learn about, that‘s why I‘m utilizing the stormlight archive wiki as I read to learn things.

I finally finished this beast of a book, and I loved it! I didn‘t love Dalinar or Adolin‘s points of view at first, but Shallan and Kaladin kept me interested enough to keep going. By the end, I was hooked by the whole story. And in true Sanderson fashion the ending was epic. It took some time to get through this one, but it was totally worth the effort.

I just got home from work and that means...MY OFFICIAL 10 DAY BIRTHDAY VACATION BEGINS! 🎉🎉🎉 I had to use up some pto, and what better time to do it than around my birthday, which is Saturday! I'm going to be spending the time off reading, kitty cuddling, and walking at the park! Bliss! 💕📚
Also, yes. I am attempting to re-read Stormlight Archive again before Sanderson's new books come out next year. Yes, I'm crazy. 😁❤ #catsoflitsy #rumpel
