pickFelt a little long winded in places but it all comes together and each part essential in the larger story. Our pasts, present, hopes and dreams all make us who we are. I loved the weaving together of books and how then affect our lives in the most intimate of ways. ♡
pickThough Robin Windsor feels safe in her quaint used bookstore in River City, Michigan, it is only a matter of time before her past finds her. She begins receiving books from a long-ago friend, and her past and her present intertwine for a story of sweet friendship, family secrets, and the powerful effect of words.
An emotional, thought-provoking read. The characters bring the struggle, the drama, the mystery to life, and it is so well done.
pickIt‘s clear that the author of this book has a deep love for books.Robin has to move in with her grandmother after her parents go to prison,and books seem to be the only constant in her life. The story is told in 2 timelines,Robin as a 15 year old who arrives in Sussex, MI shortly after her parents arrest and Robin as an adult who owns a bookstore in nearby River City.Despite a pretty depressing story, the ending actually lands on a positive note.

pickRobin is sent to live with her grandmother. Meets Peter. His mother recently died. Peter begins to read his mother's books and then shares them with Robin. I love reading books about books. Told in two different timelines entitled Then and Now. Writing is beautiful and flows easily. Characters are believable and the plot engrossing. I would like to thank LibraryThing Early Reviewers and The Baker Publishing Group. Recommended for book lovers!
