For me, the Summer is the best time of year for reading Science Fiction. So, from June 21st, the official first day of Summer, to the 21st of September (the day before the Autumnal Equinox), I'm reading as much Sci-Fi as possible. I've got a lot of it on my TBR shelves, and I'm inviting all of you to join me! #SciFiSummer

Libro ben scritto e condito con geniale umorismo inglese, tuttavia a volte a discapito della trama volutamente eccessiva e confusionaria, in cui tutto accade per caso. Recensione completa: https://www.instagram.com/p/CesvTqaM5cW/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

My library had a book dale today. This is my book haul. Anyone read these books?
I WILL finish this book during my trip to Texas. It‘s a beast but it‘s so funny and worth it.
I have been off of here for far to long. I hit a big slump but I‘m back into it now. Love this book and can‘t wait to read the next one. Really fast read and just what I needed to start the craving again! #42 #Ford #depressedrobots #HitchHiker‘sGuide
I should have just stuck with the first novel. It was great. Hilarious. The style was just so much fun. After 800 pages I‘m less enthusiastic. If I read this in the future I will make sure it‘s only The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, the Ultimate will not be read again.
"Why should I want to make anything up? Life's bad enough as it is without wanting to invent any more of it."
Marvin may be my spirit animal ... er ... spirit android.

1. After changing my answer a dozen times, I‘ve settled on Hitchhiker‘s Guide to the Galaxy. There are so many surprising, beautifully/hilariously written moments that you can only truly enjoy the first time.
2. My current read Forces of Nature is melting my brain, but in a good way. Physics is not an easy subject for most, but I particularly struggle with the Maths involved. 😅
No tags since I‘m late. 🤪

So this is the omnibus of all Hitchhiker books, which I own a very battered copy of. I read this at least once a year, usually as a pick me up. It's humour is unparalleled and I often wish all sci-fi was like this. How absurd or confusing it may seem, stick with it and you won't regret it. Just remember, whatever you do: DON'T PANIC!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A cute story about what happens after the end of the world. Stephen Fry does an amazing job as the narrator!!
A random of assortment of #3books gifted to me! Hitchhikers was a gift from my brother-in-law that‘s on my short list TBR. Frida‘s quotes was a wedding anniversary gift from some friends who know I love Frida and my wife hates Frida. Pastrix was a “gift” but more of a pass-along book. My cousin gave it to my aunt, who gave it to me, my wife read it, then she gave it to a friend. We all signed our names in the front, so it‘s a sort of library card!
1. I keep it if I really liked it. Or if it's an author I really like. Otherwise, I donate.
2. Tagged. I have not read the books yet. I really like the Barnes & Noble Collectible Edition.

This book was pretty much a joy to read. It was long, given that it is five books in one. I almost stopped reading after the first book, but I'm glad I didn't because my favorite scene was actually in the second book. If you are a fan of humorous sci-fi, or even if you're not (I've never really been a sci-fi nut), I would recommend it. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

As soon as Mr. Prosser realized that he was substantially the loser after all, it was as if a weight lifted itself off his shoulders: this was more like the world as he knew it. #audiobook
Omg! I just finished this fantastic book and the ending was well worth the long wait!!! Such an amazing read and 10/10 recommend if you haven't picked it up yet
Hello to everyone on Litsy! New to the community and looking forward to making some bookish friends! 😊📚💜

This book has always made me laugh 😆Anyone joining me for a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster? I‘ll meet you at the Restaurant at the End of the Universe; don‘t forget your towel.
I‘m finally at the final chapter in my journey hitchhiking throughout the galaxy! Can‘t wait to see how it ends.. #mostlyharmless #hitchhikersguide
“[The towel] has great practical value - you can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapours...and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough.”

1. Fantasy, urban fantasy, SciFi, & magical realism. Also anything by Gaiman (because he should have his own genre.)
2. I did write a book! I “won” NaNoWriMo in 2013 and 2017, and have various workings of other projects from other NaNo years. But my 2013 novel‘s working title was Project Gen-M.

No better way to start the day than with fresh coffee, fresh bowl, and a fantastic book to get lost in! #DouglasAdams #TheUltimateHitchhikersGuide

Slowly working my way through this book. Featuring my second favorite bookmark.
Super excited to start this adventure and be able to finish them all in one book!!!
Book haul from tonight! Went for a mother's day gift for my mom, and ended up buying myself a few gifts too .😆 All for $40!
I've read all of them, except for Cat's Eye.
It‘s my birthday today. Here‘s the clue, so how old am I you beautiful Litten nerds?
“It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds...[but] a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero...”

From @kaye - I love this! Littens are by far the most creative people out there when it comes to usernames 👍🏻
My handle comes from the nickname everyone calls me: ‘Aims‘ (real name is Amy) and 42 is the answer to life, the universe, and everything!! (A quote from one of my favorite books and favorite authors who re-ignited my love of reading 😁)
