Little Comet | Igloobooks

While we loved Little Sunflower, Little Acorn and Little Snowflake - Little Comet fell short for us. The others are quite educational as you learn about the life cycle of the sunflower, acorn and snowflake. It didn't feel that there was as much learning in this book but you do get to zoom through space as a comet and learn the planets on the way. Our three year old clearly enjoys the illustrations!

This would be a good book to use around Earth Day! I also think it would be good when talking about recycling which can be an important and fun topic to discuss with children. It could spark important discussions about how to make smart choices in order to protect our planet.

A short but informational book about how to protect our planet and different facts about trash and recycling. It is formatted in a very kid-friendly but still informational way. It shows children that they can make a difference and work to protect and clean our planet.

Our planet is drowning in waste, but if we act now, it's not too late to save it.

This would be an excellent book choice when beginning a unit on the environment. Could even spark ideas on recycling projects students could do as a class.

Pickpick

This book provides an abundant amount of information about the waste we produce as humans and the effects this waste has on our world. While the book tells a lot of information on what has been going wrong with our wastefulness, it also provides insight on how we can reduce waste and use it for good.
