I stopped and started this book several times, but once I finally got into it I ended up really enjoying it! It‘s a fun little YA fantasy and now I need to pick up the rest of the series 🤷🏻‍♀️

This weekend's Dollarama find. I just may have squealed with delight. I LOVE Jasper Fforde. He is the only F(f)ord(e) I want in my life, but alas, I am stuck with another jackass in my life for the next four years.

Mini #libraryhaul for my road trip this weekend. I got CDs instead of using Libby for the audiobook so I don't have to worry about my iPod dying if my phone is plugged in. For backup I have three more on Libby though 😁 #overprepared?

I finally took this book - that I bought at a library sale some months ago - off the shelves and around the house and fed it some fettuccine alfredo and I think it's growing on me.

happy valentine's day! I've recently been desperately trying to find YA books without romance (or at least without it being central). The Last Dragonslayer is one that I really like that falls into that romance-less YA category.

Anyone have recommendations?

There's not a single Jasper Fforde book that I haven't loved. This one was a solid airplane read.

It was a long day yesterday and today-learned my grandpa is on hospice yesterday, today we learned he may have broken his hip, I'm going to be solo-ing at work for the next few days, and the bank declined my request for a loan to get from online bookstore to a storefront. Many stresses. Gonna be making turkey and noodles (yay leftovers) and reading this until bedtime.

I loved this book so much Jennifer Strange is just the person you want guiding you through this strange and magical land. So glad my friend kept pestering me about reading this.

This genre-bending book is hilarious and so clever. I was genuinely surprised by the plot throughout. It's so fun. 👍🏻

This book is for younger readers. Liked it very much even it's not as good as the Thursday Next novels. Looking forward to the second one.

A friend has been pestering me to read this and now I finally am.

I'm trying to do some sport lately and found Hoola Hoop quite cool. And the best thing is, I CAN READ WHILE DOING IT!!! 🤗🤗🤗

What a fun and funny take on the last prophesized hero story. I loved the Quarkbeast and our hero Jennifer as she debates the consequences of fulfilling her prophecy. Kill the dragon and war begins, but don't and she will violate the rules which will lead to her death. Really fun narrative.

I have been eyes deep in work books, so YA fantasy books have been the right solution. I have been on a YA run recently and I have not been a big fan of the genre. Between Jackaby and this one, I am in a happy place. I am loving this one so far!

A whole lot of fun. I was told it was the "YA version of Fforde," but found it to be amazing nonetheless. If you like Harry Potter and Jasper Fforde's writing, this series is for you!
