I am shocked about Where‘s Waldo…wtf? The Bible surprised me but I read that in one school someone said if the school was going to ban all the books they chose, then that person said the Bible should be banned, too, and it was. I am also surprised about all the Stephen King books. This is all so insane.

Daughter‘s 8th grade English class is currently focussing on banned books. She has to pick a banned book and report on the reasons for the ban, etc. What a great discussion to kick off the school year! The class apparently found it amusing a Where‘s Waldo book was banned bc it depicted a topless sunbather. 🤣🤣🤣 Nearly any kid in the target age range of these seek & find books would find it hilarious!

File this one under Ridiculous.

Her 11th birthday is April 1 but we dont know if she will make it that long 😢 She was diagnosed w/ bladder cancer 35 days ago. tpixie Lol 😝 ! Our local bookstore organizes a Where's Waldo event every July. Several stores hide a 7 inch cardboard statue of Waldo. We go around town finding him and then when your card is all marked, you take it back to the bookstore to enter a drawing! 8y

Haven't gotten much adult reading done for #readathon this weekend, but I've read a few hours to the kids. We also stopped by our local independent bookstore and purchased some great new books! And got a huge stack from the library. Life is good.

thegirlwiththelibrarybag Wally! I was so addicted to the tv show when I was a kid, I would be so focused on spotting Wally in the crowd that the house could have fallen down around me and I wouldn't have noticed until the show finished 😜 love the books as well, they have timeless appeal. 8y

Found an amazing "Where's Waldo?" mural while walking around Tokyo today. We never did find him, but we DID find another Litsy kindred spirit ??.

I was also reminded of how much I loved these books when I was little. Anybody else??? When/if I have kids, I will need all of them!! Hours of entertainment.

BookNerdBritt Yep! Back when electronic devices had to be turned off during takeoff and landing, I bought a travel-sized Where's Waldo book to keep myself entertained until I was allowed to turn on my Kindle. 😄 8y
