pickGood book, very exciting and engaging. I feel like the sequel built on the world building a little bit more. I am curious to see where the author decides to take the series.
pickWho doesn‘t love assassin nuns? This series has some similarities to one of my absolute favourites, the Nevernight Chronicle, but it is still a great and unique series. The world building in this series is awesome and I am dying to know more about this universe. There is such a rich history to be explored and I am really hoping more will be repealed in the third book.
Some amazing character development occurs in this instalment.
pickI devoured this book yesterday because I just could not tear myself away! Maybe not quite as good as Red Sister, but it's the tricky middle book in a trilogy. Loved the political intrigue and the strong female friendships throughout. My only niggle is that Nona is getting almost too super powered, but that may have consequences in the next book. I'm enjoying this trilogy so far!
pickThis is the second in a fantasy trilogy that began with "Red Sister." It has plenty of action, politics, treachery, and killer nuns in a very interesting world. The plot sometimes stretches credibility, but boring it is never.

pickThe story had me hooked back in right away, and I did not want to have to stop reading because I just wanted to know what happened next. I was thrilled to get into the head of more characters in the story, along with following Nona‘s journey. It was great to learn more about the backgrounds of some of the most important and influential characters, getting hints about what is coming next without having anything given away.
And that‘s a wrap ...... weekend starts now 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I want to get through “Grey Sister” and onto book 3. Im guessing there will be a 101 things to distract me though 🤦🏻♂️😤 #fantasy

I‘m almost done with my re-read. It‘s a fantastic fantasy series by Mark Lawrence about a young girl growing up as a deadly nun in a convent. There‘s lots of magic, fights and a marvellous story. If you‘re into #fantasy give the Mark Lawrence Ancestor series a shot.

pick“Grey Sister” isn‘t a perfect book... but it almost physically pains me to admit it. Is it sometimes a little repetitive? Sure. Were there a few too many battles? Maybe. Did I wonder at a couple of points if it was going to go on forever, & if there was an end in sight? Yes. Would I have been mad if it *had* gone on forever? Probably not. I could read about Nona & her friends until the moon falls from the sky (& maybe after).

However, it was a great read! If you like the first one you‘ll like this! Nona is a great MC -definitely kick-ass. Thy are violent though, if not your thing.

Truth. I‘ve had a terrible day. My oldest friends 22 year old daughter committed suicide last night. I‘ve spent today trying to be useful and supportive and feeling like a failure on all counts. What do you say.
We‘ve been friends since we were 10 (40 years) and have done marriages, divorces, kids, grandkids, breast cancer, but I just don‘t know how we‘re getting through this one. My heart is broken for my friend and her beautiful daughter.

Started my day with this lovely pillow as a housewarming gift & ended my day with the next book in series I am super excited about arriving in the mail. Not a bad 1st day back from spring break. I know what I am starting ASAP!!
