The plot was very unique and I thought I was going to love it from a psychological standpoint. It was just ok for me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I like the atmosphere of this novel, the isolation and heat. It's got attributes of a mystery and a thriller, woven through with questions about justice and how to move in the present with the weight of our past behind us.
I've been listening to this one for several days but finished it while cleaning litter boxes this morning. It's December 26, and I'm calling it Litter Boxing Day. (Ba-dum ching!)
Thank you so much for this surprise package! The wrapping was so cute! This book has been on my TBR forever, so looking forward to actually getting to it 😂. And is that actually tea???? It smells really good! #LitsyLove

I would love to see the tagged book made into a TV series. So much could be done with the back stories of all the characters. Maybe one day… #SundayFunday @ozma.of.oz
Read this too late into the night and then skipped my usual morning routine so I could finish it. The reviews on Goodreads run hot and cold and I‘m placed firmly in the former. A really unique plot, this was tense and dark and a little gritty/violent and would make for really great discussion with others! One of those stories that makes me really miss my book club. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

📚 I would love to see the tagged book made into a 10 episode Netflix series!

I had heard such good things about this one but I did not love it. At least it is off the list now. #bookspin @TheAromaofBooks
This book was different than expected, I went into it thinking more Wayward Pines vibes for some reason. (I was wrong) I imagine David Harbour as the main character-he would be perfect for it. It definitely kept me hooked to ride out the plot.

1. Nope
2. I usually just copy my reviews from here into goodreads
3. The tagged book could make such an interesting show or miniseries
Thanks for the tag @Cosmos_Moon Sorry was late to the party @Eggs
It is truly a Wondrous Wednesday!
💙 I read and loved The Paris Hours by @AlexGeorge
💙 Nope.
💙 The tagged book would make a fantastic TV series. Can you hear me, Netflix?
Play along, Littens!

December 18: Happy Anniversary by Adam Sternberg. This story is an excerpt from his 4th novel.
A struggling marriage. A wife lives a note for her husband to meet her in a cabin for their 3rd weeding anniversary. What happens next?
Depending on the blurb for this novel, I would definitely be interested in reading the rest of this story.
There is some Litsy love for this book,I snapped it up on a Kindle daily deal.Imagine a place not beautiful, but a social experiment.Maybe you‘re a criminal or a witness to a crime, if you agree to live in this town & get your memories erased, you get a new name , a new start. An exciting read w/ many twists & turns , when things start to unravel , I was glad I was there to enjoy the ride.Darkly humorous w/ moral dilemmas & interesting characters.
Great story and characters. It was very intense and had a satisfying ending. I highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Happy birthday to me! 😂
Wish I didn't have to spend the day at work. I would much rather be at home curled up with the book I just started.
Wow! This book is incredible. It made me think, that's for sure. Imagine living in the middle of nowhere amongst rehabilitated felons who have no memory of their crimes? Sternberg definitely keeps the reader's interest with the pacing of the plot. As the book drew to an end, I was turning those pages at rapid speed just to see what happened next. I'm glad I stepped outside of my comfort zone to give this one a try. 😃
This book was interesting and thought-provoking. What would happen is a medley of criminals had their memories wiped and were all placed in an isolated town? Are they still guilty and bad people even if they don't remember what they've done, and can't believe that they'd even commit a crime?
If you like this premise, you should also check out The I-Land on Netlfix. It was cheesy but binge-worthy.
I started The Blinds a few minutes before the Pats game started, and now I'm getting in a few pages during the commercial breaks. 😜🏈

“Imagine a place populated by criminals—people plucked from their lives, with their memories altered, who‘ve been granted new identities and a second chance. Welcome to The Blinds, a dusty town in rural Texas populated by misfits who don‘t know if they‘ve perpetrated a crime or just witnessed one.” This was a quirky mashup of western fiction mixed with the thriller genre. Fun read!!!
So compulsively readable, I had trouble putting this one down! A modern gritty Western with a unique plot. I'm waiting on Netflix to make this a binge-worthy show now.
Flying through this one!
Loved this book! Fantastic premise about a group of strangers who may or may not have committed horrific crimes who then have their memories of the crimes erased and now live in a special type of witness protection in an isolated Texas town. What could possibly go wrong, you ask? Everything! Could not put this one down!
Don't know which one I'm most excited about. Either Darling Days or The Blinds, but Buttermilk Graffiti looks really good too. My TBR keeps growing.
Finished up this old #botm today. Lots of twists I didn‘t see coming (and some I did). The concept of erasing memories has always fascinated me and this interpretation is very interesting. Lennox kept me company, as usual, this #caturday morning. #lennox #catsoflitsy
Decision time- do I bring this upstairs to bed and commit myself to a late night of reading or be responsible and leave it be until tomorrow evening... 🤔
I‘ve had this one on my TBR list for a while now- hoping this breaks my crappy book streak! Gotta fit in 2 more to reach my goodreads goal by Jan 1! 🤞🏽
I hope to get a lot of reading done while in North Dakota. My dad doesn't really ever stop talking, so it's going to take some focus on my part 😂
I finished my BOTM pick from August 2017, (that‘s how far behind I am)! I really enjoyed this book. I was a little hesitant at first to pick it, but once I started reading I found myself really enjoying the story and characters. I liked that the book centered around criminals that had no idea they were criminals. I feel like it was an interesting concept. I will definitely be reading more from this author!
In The Blinds, there is a town in the Texas desert filled with those who wish to disappear/hide though with their memories wiped of certain life events. An intriguing premise, this book was great in places but uneven overall, then devolved into dark, gratuitous violence in a way that didn‘t serve the story and turned my stomach. I can‘t get behind this one. #botm

How do you make time for reading?
One of my first #bookofthemonthclub picks and it was such a great read! Not a totally foreign concept but well executed. A great example of the Stanford Prison Experiment 1971. Lock people away and tada! Crazy shit. Thoroughly enjoyable with several plot twists.

I absolutely adored this one! #bookreview
Picked up my next read today and already I‘m four chapters in. This one is really intriguing! Not that I expected any less of a @faberbooks novel. I predict this will be a quick read. Have you read it? #bibliophile #bookaddict #booklover #bookblog #bookish #bookworm #bookstamums #currentlyreading
A perfect mash-up between a Western and a thriller with a great premise.
So-so. Seemed to drag toward the end, so much stalking, death, destruction. If you read this what did you think?
