Substack tells me they will soon start to read Dracula in chronological order again.
1. It can't be a year already 😳
2. I should try again 😁
So, let's try!

This was a fun thriller. The writing style took some getting used to, but it worked well for this book. The book starts off kind of slow, but once Van Helsing arrives and gets down to business, the pace picks up. Van Helsing is definitely my favorite character. I also liked the Harkers and Quincey Morris. Renfield is quite memorable as well. I would recommend to anyone into gothic horror and vampires. Another classic crossed off the TBR!
Prompt 21: “vampire.”

#DraculaDaily Who else is loving reading Dracula this way? Our poor Jonathan is feeling imprisoned and afraid as his contract with the count keeps getting extended. Reading this classic story in real time gives it such a unique perspective. 🧛🏻❤️
I‘ll be honest, I expected more of this book.
Everything is told in a diary pov and there‘s barely any count Dracula in the whole book, it‘s mostly about catching Dracula.
Dracula or Drakulya who may have been based of the vicious, despotic, blood thirsty Wallachian (Romanian) ruler of the mid 15th century has hints of the man behind the undead mask‘s prior fleets in real life. The story in itself has defied my expectations. I honestly thought that this would be another tacky and fruitless horror novel but it was so much more than that! From Nosferatu to Dracula Untold, Stoker far exceeds the cinematic experience.
Well I figured it was time to rewatch the movie since I recently finished the book. It had probably been 15yrs or more since I had watched it and I was extremely disappointed. Why did they butcher the story so bad?!
This is the first book I finished this year. I love vampire lore and I have always loved the story of Dracula, but just now read the book. It was everything I was expecting. I really like how the book is written as you are reading journal entries and letters from the characters. #dracula #bramstoker #vampirelove
Guys! I found a new wonderful podcast! Currently listening to Dracula and since I‘ve never read it before, this is fantastic.
1. I have Dracula and North and South to read this month.
2. My favorite classics are Little Women and The Three Musketeers.

A little #audioknitting this cold dreary night.

The first time I read Dracula, I wasn‘t a fan. Since this was the book chosen for the #TeamStoker #DraculaBuddyRead I decided I would give the audiobook a try. I so wish the full cast recording that Audible did had existed when I was in college. I enjoyed Dracula so much better the second time around. I highly recommend this audio recording. #scarathlon +11 pts
Bk3 of my #24B4Monday #readathon is done. I loved this compact graphic novel version of Bram Stokers tale about a Wallachian prince gone to the dark side. The art was amazing & the story followed the novel faithfully. I think I‘ll try an audiobook next to rest my eyes before the start of the #Deweys24hrreadathon tonight. #Scarathlon #TeamSlaughter #ScaryScavengerHunt #AboutAVampire 12points + 5points #PointsTotal-1,387
Say what you will, Gary Oldman made vampire culture 🖤🖤🖤

Diving into the #DraculaBuddyRead for #Scarathlon. Loving my Kindle in motion version and also have the audiobook on standby for when I need to listen. 🧛🏻♀️

Goes to comic con and gets distracted by Dracula themed wines. Now the hard question, to drink or keep on display 🍷🍷🧛🏻♀️🧛🏻♂️🦇
I may or may not have a vampire obsession. I am watching Dracula, while I read Dracula. It's safe to say, Dracula is my favorite vampire in all of literature, Lestat is a close second!
All hail the king of vampires!! Happy Dracula Day 🧛🏻♀️🧛🏻♂️🦇⚰️
Felt a little long toward the end, but such a great October read. I love how gothic and historical this novel is! I think vampire fans forget about that when we read newer takes on Stoker‘s tale. I also love all of the old lore, like Dracula crawling head first down the castle walls, about what his hair/beard looks like, etc. Love also that this story is written in journal entries and letters. So fun!
The full cast Audible edition audio is 💯🙌🏻
Alan Cumming reads Dr Seward‘s parts. His narration is SUBLIME. This whole audio is amazing but his parts are my favorite as far as narration.
Ooohhhhh if I would have had audiobooks like this when I was back in high school and college. They enhance the classics SO MUCH. I love it, I love it, I love it.
(I tell my kids all the time about how lucky they are to grow up with great audio options: they say “Mom, you‘re a massive fangirl.”🤷🏻♀️)
This is a great audiobook!
Perfect for the season 🧛♂️🎃 In addition to the narrators listed on the cover: Simon Vance, John Lee, Katy Kellgren and a bunch of others 🙌🏻 I‘m enjoying it!
Decided to give this classic a try! #classic #bandnclassic #summerreads

Loved it!!! Finally, finally read (and listened) to this classic! Now I'm going to curl up with the remainder of the annotated version. I'm happy along with listening I could check certain cultural references of that period. I haven't read a book this old in a long, long time. At least I now know where it all began! 🦇
This is my latest serial reader book #setineasterneurope. As I'm perusing Jonathan Harker's journal entries, I keep hearing Keanu Reeves' voice. 😁 Rumor has it that author Bram depicted Dracula's fictional castle based on the description of the Bran Castle (pictured here) in Romania. #photoadaynov16 #serialreader @RealLifeReading
I haven't read this in about five years and found this gem on the Amazon Prime Classics Channel and couldn't pass it up! This should be a great listen!

Forgot how much I enjoy Bram Stoker's Dracula! The audio book is incredible; the narrators have definitely captured the dark, creepiness of the book!

10-14-16: Just finished a horror book custom charm bracelet! Dracula by Bram Stoker, The Mummy, The Vampire Chronicles and The Mayfair Witches Series by Anne Rice, Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, Marked by PC and Kristin Cast, The Den of Shadows by Amelia Atwater-Rhoades and City of Bones by Cassandra Clare.

#October 13 - #Vampires might be overdone but I just love this #edition of #Dracula by #BramStoker from #BarnesandNoble #leatherboundclassics collection. #hauntedbooktober #bookchallenge #book #read #bookstagram #LairoftheWhiteWorm #JewelofSevenStars #ListyFeature
Considering I've been reading vampire books for 25ish years, it's amazing that this is my first read of the most famous vampire novel. It wasn't what I expected, and yet I enjoyed it all the same. Gave it four pumpkins for #HalloweenHorror and #scaretober.

First off I have a borders copy that I found in the used book store that I just couldn't pass up, but really tell me why I have never read this book in its entirety. So this months goal read it to the end. Ohh and I couldn't find the cover when I searched so see photo because it really is a pretty cover.
