This is a coming of age story of a girl who is supposed to be an alien. The coming of age aspect was good but it kind of lost me with the alien thing. Was she really an alien, though? Or was she just a girl who felt like an outsider? 3 ⭐️

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't this. I had no idea that tulips were a big deal in the Netherlands. I was amazed at the obsession of the main character. It was a good story, but it did lose me at parts. 3.5 ⭐️

I can see what the hype was all about with this book. This was a great re-imagining of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, but through Jim's point-of-view. Though this book was listed under humor, I didn't find funny. It was more tragic than anything else. What Jim and other slaves went through was just horrible. However, I loved Jim's determination to save his family. I give it 4 ⭐️.

This was my first book in the Discworld series. There was a lot of world building and strange things happening. I admit, I was confused the majority of the time. I enjoyed the wit, the setting, and how it ended. But for the life of me, I can't explain what the story was about. 3⭐️
