pickThis is a low pick for me. I didn‘t really like any of the characters. They were either overly dramatic or blah. I liked that Nory owned a secondhand bookshop and loved books, but she had such a hard time actually selling them? This is set around Christmas and very winter estate, but it‘s not a cutesy holiday romance. More a winter romance drama.

pickThis was a bit change of pace after all the holiday reads. Set in the 1300s in Florence during the plague. Ginerva has magical abilities and just wants to help people. She ends up getting caught and is mutilated and exiled from the city. Then the plague comes and she‘s asked to come back to the city and find the religious relics. I liked it!

pickLOVED IT. I was worried because I thought this would be related to Cinderella is Dead, which wasn‘t totally for me… but it wasn‘t and the fairytale references & imagery were elaborate & fun. I loved the characters, it was so good!
pickI enjoyed this fun holiday read. I alternated between the ebook and audiobook and loved the narration. Aunt Cindy and Max were great supporting characters who provided some hilarious moments.

Last night I went to a Queer Crafternoon event hosted by one of our local SAPL branches. I love this idea! It was my first time. I got to make 2 holiday crafts (my poinsettia needs a little more work) and we got to listen to part of the tagged book while we worked.
