The movie is probably my favorite of Hitchcock‘s & I enjoy the other movies & books it has inspired so much that our dog is named Owen after Danny Devito‘s character in Throw Momma From The Train, so I am thankful to @JenlovesJT47 for organizing the #HitchToScreen to finally get my copy off of my TBR! I didn‘t love the audio performance here and I think the tension would have been more pronounced physically reading it but still what a debut novel!

I enjoyed this dark thriller. I‘ve read the first three in the Ripley series, so this is my fourth Highsmith. Glad there are still more. #HitchToScreen

I finally finished Strangers On A Train for #HitchToScreen - I‘d give it a soft pick & I really wish Goodreads did half stars. The movie, imo, is a masterpiece, & this is one of the instances where I think the movie is better than the book. My biggest gripe is that it‘s too long & dragged a lot. Guy is much more sympathetic in the movie. By the end of the book I was rooting for no one. Still, it‘s a great premise for a book. 3.5⭐️

Clare-Dragonfly I feel like I would have been more interested in Guy‘s journey into darkness if I hadn‘t thought he basically sucked from the beginning. 🙃 7d
JenlovesJT47 @Clare-Dragonfly have you seen the movie? I love Farley Granger and he is so likable in the movie. And Robert Walker who plays Bruno is amazing. I agree, I would have been more invested in the book if Guy wasn‘t so unlikable. 7d
Clare-Dragonfly I haven‘t seen the movie, but hopefully I will now! 6d
TorieStorieS I completely agree— the movie is definitely better! 6d

Help a Litten out! I'm wanting to get back into reading challenges this year but I'm having a hard time figuring out what Litsy is hosting these days. It looks like a few I used to do aren't active anymore. Are there any I should know about? (I'm planning to do #bookspin with @TheAromaofBooks and #agathachristieclubR3 with @Librarybelle, of course!)

Picture of my dog's dumb teeth for tax!

TheAromaofBooks I'm participating in - #Pantone2025 and #FourFoursin25 with @lauredhel
- #WickedWords with @AsYouWish
- #Roll100 and #GottaCatchEmAll with @PuddleJumper
- #FictionalTraveler and #ReadorDonate with @julieclair
and my own other challenges, #ISpyBingo and #BookChain

Have you checked @LitsyEvents ? That account does a great job reposting all kinds of shenanigans!!
4w
Ruthiella You can follow @LitsyEvents for reposts of all the challenges, etc. Good luck! 😃 4w
AmyG There is #authoramonth @soubhiville where one reads 1+ books from that specific author for the month. #TBRTarot is where a card is chosen and you pick a corresponding book. #readyourkindle is like Bookspin but just for ereaders. Last two are with @Cbee (edited) 4w
