The Santa Clause meets Husband Material in this delightful holiday novel! Patrick Hargrave and Quinn Muller have been married for less than a year, but their passionate romance is cracking under the pressures of domestic life and a cumbersome mortgage. Thats until Christmas Eve when Patrick wakes Quinn up with: I think Ive killed a man. Quinn realizes the burglar Patrick knocked out is none other than Mr. Claus himself. Instructed by a harried elf to don the red suit and take the reins of the reindeer-guided sleigh up on the roof, Quinn and Patrick work together to save Christmas. But as the sun rises on Christmas morning, the sleigh brings them back to the North Pole instead of New Jersey, and theyre in for a massive shock. The couple must assume the roles of Santa Claus and the first ever Merriest Mister or Christmas will be canceled... permanently. With Christmasand their marriageon the line, Patrick and Quinn agree to stay together for one year. But can running a toy shop together save their relationship, or will Patrick and Quinn be stuffing coal in each others stockings come next Christmas?

"Love that overcomes is stronger than love that settles" ?
This is a favorite read for the month! Patrick and Quinn are already having issues in their marriage when they accidentally knock out Santa and have to take over the job! I'm normally not big on the marriage-on-the-rocks trope but you see both men's struggles with the pressure of expectations and fall in love with watching them fall back in love with each other. Magical and heartfelt 5✨

Happy Christmas Eve! 🎄❤️
I hope everyone has a lovely start to your holiday, whether you are working, travelling, spending time with family, or relaxing at home with a book. I will be snuggled up with a blanket and a book for most of today.
Tag me in what you're reading! I just started the tagged book and I can already tell it's gonna give me all the feelings

4/5

Patrick and Quinn's new marriage is already struggling with the pressures of owning a fixer upper and both working demanding jobs, but when they accidentally attack Santa Clause and have to take over his job, they're forced to take a break from their life and their problems. But even in someplace as magical as the North Pole, they have to figure out how to fix their relationship.

A second chance romance between two men whose marriage is on the rocks. But will saving Christmas save their marriage too? When they mistake Santa for an intruder, Quinn and Patrick knock him out, leaving the world without a Santa Claus on a Christmas Eve. Now, they'll have to take over to save Christmas. This was a cute read. I especially enjoyed the fantasy aspects of life at the North Pole and all the Santa Claus lore.

2 ⭐This book was a very short DNF. They‘re like a Hallmark movie for the ears. This book starts out with our two misters. Their relationship is on the rocks because they‘ve been married, but don‘t make time for each other. I know the description tells me that they end up taking over for Santa Claus and decide to give each other a year to make the relationship work. I never got to any of that because it was a depressing.
