I adored these 12 linked stories & meeting art collector & socialite Mr. Satterthwaite as he drives in his Rolls Royce to visit his tons & tons of friends & acquaintances. With each visit he inevitably encounters mysterious occurrences. Mr. Satterthwaite‘s guide,the enigmatic Mr. Quinn appears & disappears among the shadows.

There are really no words for the gratitude I feel for this Litsy community. It is sustained me and given me solace this month when I‘ve been shut indoors ill with a stubborn, lingering bronchitis.Your support means the world, and I am filled with a depth of appreciation. Woke to find that a mere inch or so of snow has closed the schools. Granted, it was an 11:30 am release but all you mid westerners & westerners deserve
a HUGE laugh 😂 at our expense. Apparently an inch of snow is quite scary!

We are running literature circles in 9th grade & I am reading this book with a small group of “reluctant” readers.A nice break in a day of students wanting/needing to process all the recent violence-Brown, Australia,Rob & Michele Reiner-especially since some of the seniors remember Sandy Hook.Students with college age siblings were in contact with them & happy they were or would soon be home.Exhausted.Can‘t focus enough to read.
