Today is Christmas Card Day, so for the Daily Challenge today post a Christmas scene or image that would make for a good Christmas Card.

A collection of seasonal crime stories by some of the crime writers of the Golden Age of Detective Fiction. As with any anthology, there are some that don‘t personally hit the mark (I‘m not a fan of the seemingly popular at the time method of a character recounting a tale of a crime to an audience) but there are some that are a delight, my personal favourite being John Bingham‘s Crime At Lark Cottage.

Leisurely sipping French Roast and reading Paul Temple‘s White Christmas by Francis Durbridge.This collection has introduced me to several new detection/crime 20th c authors.Apparently many of Paul Temple‘s & his journalist compatriot, Steve‘s,adventures in crime solving were originally written as radio plays.Audible has some remastered; I plan to listen to one.

I‘m so excited for the two British Library Crime Classics and I‘m in LOVE with these socks (the carpet pattern from the movie of The Shining 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻). That fab True Crime sticker is going right into my 2021 reading journal and I love the card 😂😂 and Reese‘s chocolate, too. Thank you, thank you! 😘😘

I've been rubbish at getting round to Christmas cards again this year, and I don't think they'll arrive in time by now anyway. So I've made a donation to Book trust again this year for our #jbuk group https://www.booktrust.org.uk/

A solid collection of Golden Age mysteries, some of which have clever twists indeed. Refreshing to read in the middle of a heatwave.

From the intro to the story Crime at Lark Cottage: its author is John Bingham, a colleague of David Cornwell‘s / John le Carré‘s who was a key inspiration for the character of George Smiley ???‍♂️

More British Library Crime Classics on Overdrive: The Christmas Card Crime, Deep Waters, Death Has Deep Roots. Of the nine I requested, four were on my to-read list already 😊

First finished book of 2020, and a fine Christmas read. I enjoyed the selection and range of these stories, and appreciated the background on each author.

She is totally judging my book choice. I‘m enjoying the murder mysteries though. A stab in the dark is so festive. 🔪 🎄

I read the tagged book for book club. It was a mixed bag, but the only one I hated was the ghost story.

I am so far behind on my Christmas to do list that I am feeling less heartwarming (holiday romance) and more murderous (holiday mystery) so I chose this one for Day 9 of the #bookadventcalendar. @LeahBergen
