⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Brother and sister - Jude and Taylor, discover a dead body when they arrive at their holiday rental. A bounty hunter (Myles) arrives to catch the killer as a favour for a friend. A grumpy and sunshine story line - a kind, caring primary teacher and a rough around the edges bounty hunter. What could go wrong? Taylor and Myles become a murder solving team. Great chemistry with these two MCs and the writing keeps you guessing!
Ahh yes, Tessa Bailey is renowned for her crime books… and absolutely nothing else 👀 #genrestickerfail
I apologize that I haven‘t been posting very consistently on here. But I wanted to pop in for an update. I did get to visit the Libros Book Lounge I posted about previously for the first time tonight and it was lovely. I wish I had gotten more photos to share, but the thing is… I‘m awkward and self conscious 😂 I loved it and I will be back. 🖤📖🦇
Is it hot in here, or is it me? 🥵🌶
I devoured this. A murder mystery with some serious spice. What a blast!
Romantic suspense story - steamy and funny. Not believable, but entertaining :)
Afternoon treat - cuppa, cookies and a couple of chapters.
Thank you @Kshakal for your gift! I am going to try the coffee this morning. A chalkboard mug seems fun. I can warn people to wait to talk to me lol jk #muglove23 #Heart #ScaryFebruary
I wanted to like this, really, I did. But Myles was just so douchy. I‘m not opposed to whirlwind, instalove, but this just didn‘t do it for me. Which is a bummer because the mystery part was interesting (and could have been more featured imo).
Super fun & also super hot, with some great one-liners. My favorite was the heroine trying to give herself a pep talk with "I'm a pandemic-era teacher, dammit!"
Grumpy/sunshine is one of my favorite tropes and it was done well despite also being an insta-love, which I don't love.
A (probably unrealistic) glimpse at my reading plans for the next couple weeks... I organize a holiday book swap at work and like to give everyone who takes part a used book in addition to what their partner buys them. I've been setting books aside for the last few months as I finish one or come across them at sales, but I have a specific person in mind for each of these. I just have to read tbem before i can give them away! #schoollibraries
This rom com was so funny. Almost like hate to love relationship, even when things happen too fast (dangerous). There are sexy parts, spicy as it is called now. Too repetitive these spicy parts but it seems is the modality now🤷🏽♀️That end was so funny. I liked the mystery part. It made me laughed. 3⭐️
November 2022 #BookSpinBingo @TheAromaOfBooks
#LittensLoveRomance @Staycurious
November reads! I have a few I‘m in the middle of, but I don‘t think I‘ll finish them tonight. Lots of fun cozy mysteries, and some romances as well. They balance out the crazy serious ones 🤣
This was one spicy meatball!! I loved the added murder element to it… super good beach read!
4.75/5 ⭐️ Oh wow, the spice in this book...🔥🌶👌🏼...I need a glass of cold water! Loved this romance/murder mystery with its grumpy/sunshine trope! I need to read more from Tessa Bailey!
#littensloveromance
Read this book for the #LittensLoveRomance group. Even with the mystery element, I would still call it a fluff/beach read. I liked the characters a lot and they were what made the story. They are polar opposites. Myes is a grump-a-saurous and Taylor is all brightness and sunshine. Yet it worked and they completed each other. And then the attraction was off the charts. So lots of steam in this book. 3.5ish⭐️
I really enjoyed reading this with the #littensloveromance crew. Very spicy 🌶️🌶️ and loved the dual POV. The murder mystery aspect was fun and gave the story a bit of drama
#LittensLoveRomance Sorry I‘m a couple days late on this! Real life, amiright? I hope you all enjoyed this fun romance we read this month - I certainly did. Here are a few questions for our end of book discussion but feel free to talk about anything you want down below. Looking forward to seeing your thoughts!
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.21-epilogue: What a great ending! So romantic - after all that time spent denying they can be together, Myles pursues her to her home and proceeds to convince her he‘s staying and they belong together. And the epilogue was so fun and swoony. My only complaint is the Jude -Dante storyline was never resolved. So frustrating-There had better be a spin-off coming! But overall a great read! I enjoyed the grumpy/sunshine trope⬇️
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.17: Taylor tries to remain impartial after the wowza but can‘t, especially when she defends Myles to outsiders. She toys around with the L word. Whoops. Watch out for those strings, Tay. Also, We finally meet the infamous Dante, the guy Jude is pining over. Ch.18: getting it on in a church? Holy Smokes - I‘m pretty liberal and even I think that‘s a bit much. Still, it did seem to open up Myles‘ feelings for Taylor. ⬇️
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.13: this sentence - “rejection my brain understands but my heart doesn‘t want to accept” - I‘m feeling sad for both Taylor and Myles. Ch.14: I‘m strongly suspecting the mayor and/or her assistant of committing the crime. It‘s got to be a way of getting votes. ⬇️
The steam was off the charts! 🔥 This is a murder mystery/romance, and TBH, the murder mystery takes a back seat. Did I mind? No, I didn‘t. Once Taylor and Myles met, the insta love began, and I was all about it. The grumpy/sunshine trope was entertaining. Honestly, if you‘ve ever instantly lusted after someone, you‘ll probably “get” this book. I don‘t think Bailey takes herself too seriously…this was pure fun!
#LittensLoveRomance #bookspinbingo
Taylor‘s vacation turns into a murder investigation. That‘s when Myles, bounty hunter, comes along to solve the mystery. They‘re fight over the investigation turns into romance. Whose the murderer? Will Myles stay?
Tessa Bailey has done it again 🙌. This was such a fun read. It was fast paced. I loved both the protagonists and their chemistry 🔥. There was even a happy ending, which is always a plus for me.
#romancebooks
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.9: Is Taylor being targeted for digging into the murder or was the flying buoy just a coincidence? And can she stand having Myles stick close to her when they left things between them so unfinished? Ch.10: Things heat back up again, this time at the beach. But, Man, they always get interrupted! This time when Jude gets stung by a jellyfish. And every time they stop, there‘s Thinking. And resolutions to stay away. Ugh! ⬇️
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.5: An ominous note hidden beneath the floorboards…and angry locals, including the mayor-set to stop renters from ruining their town. The plot thickens…and the heat intensifies between Myles and Taylor. Ch.6 we get teased about Myles‘ difficult past which has made him so prickly - Taylor finds what she thinks is the murder weapon - what are the odds? ⬇️
True crime meets grumpy/sunshine meets instalove meets spicy sexy times!! This book is funny, smart, and introduces a fun mystery element to the mix. And when it comes to the spice, Tessa Bailey brings it again (that church scene alone will require multiple cold showers). If only all vacations could be this fun and exciting!
#LittensLoveRomance Ch.1 Great start to the book - we get right into the action as vacationers Taylor and her brother find first creepy peepholes, then a dead body in their rental house! Not what you want to find when you‘re just looking for some R&R. Especially when it cost so much💵. Ch.2: The murdered guy happens to be the owner of the house, who got into it with a renter‘s father over the peepholes. Police have their suspect in the bag. But ⬇️
#LittensLoveRomance November Reading Schedule Hey guys I‘ve decided to do a slightly speedier read for our next book as I feel that most of us are quick readers. Maybe a chapter a day is too slow for this group - but please let me know your preferences. If you‘d rather savour our reads we can do that too 😀. Let me know in the comments if you want to be tagged in my posts about this book - otherwise we‘ll catch up next month. Thank you!
#LittensLoveRomance Hey guys the votes are in and this is our pick for November. I‘ve never read this author but I‘ve heard good things so should be fun! I‘ll post a reading schedule later in the month. As always, you can reach me for any questions or concerns or suggestions at LittensLoveRomance@gmail.com - thanks for being a part of this great group!
🏖️🏖️🏖️Mini-Review Time🏖️🏖️🏖️ Romance used to be my fav genre...but lately...not so much.
A book from one of my favorite cozy series and one from my TBR

Listening to the tagged audiobook while I clean and put out the Halloween decorations! It‘s our first holiday since getting our puppy, so hopefully Puddles will leave everything be. I doubt it, but here‘s hoping! 😅 #SuperSeptember @Andrew65

Insta-Lust, flat characters
This was the third or fourth book by this author that I tried. I actually stuck this one out to the end, but it was tough.
The male narrator sounded like way older than the character, who's in his mid-thirties.
More #LitErotica than #Romance
Could have benefited from more editing. ⬇️
"Please,” he urges gruffly against my lips. “Stop.” “Stop what?” “I don‘t know. Everything. No matter what you‘re doing, it gets to me. When you‘re pissed or laughing or hurt or not even with me, I get torn up over it.” “That‘s them. Those are the words,” I whisper, shaken, chest twisting." ?
I‘m a pandemic-era teacher, dammit. That basically qualifies me for a presidential run.
👏👏👏👏
If you‘re looking for a quick and spicy read with laughter that doesn‘t take itself too seriously pick up this one. Taylor and Myles are the definition of opposites attract. He‘s a bounty hunter. She‘s an elementary school teacher. Add a murder and romance between the two and voila. Perfect book to escape into. #bookspin #romantsy @TheAromaofBooks
This was an ok, romantic/suspense with some comedy and Tessa Bailey‘s typical steaminess. An elementary teacher and her brother stumble onto a murder and a bounty hunter comes into to help solve the case. I wanted to love this, and I did finish it but I found it just to be meh. 3⭐️

Peri had surgery today to remove a tumor from her back leg. It went well and we'll find out in a week or so if it was cancerous (they couldn't tell from the biopsy). She's exhausted so I'm reading in bed with her. I'll have to put the cone on her when I go to sleep so she doesn't bite or lick at her stitches.
I'm starting Tessa Bailey's newest.
This was really cute and 🌶. Exactly what it was supposed to be. Perfect beach read, quarantine misery buster, or date night with yourself 🥰
5‘ tall 2nd grade teacher who is obsessed with murder podcasts has her vacation interrupted by a murder and teams up with an unwitting bounty hunter to find the murderer and the bounty hunter‘s heart of gold.
Super cute. Corny, but I was really very honestly rooting for everyone.

In ✨quarantine✨ so this is as wild as the weekend is going to get. Tessa Bailey, coffee & Baileys.
A spicy, silly, fun ride! Perfect summer read if you are looking for something to make you sweat a bit :) #travelingreader
