Yesterday was a totally busy bust for me. My dad is visiting and we had our Thanksgiving dinner. I fit in a tiny bit of reading time and some TV. But today will be better. #scarathlon2022 #TeamMonsterMash @StayCurious
I like his short stories better but you can‘t ever go wrong reading anything by Poe. And while it‘s just stating the obvious, ‘The Raven‘ is awesome.
Sometimes gloomy afternoons are all the excuse you need to spend a little time with Edgar Allan Poe.
He might not be the most chipper author, but something about his morose works always speaks to me. Also, these cozy socks crack me up. Let it Poe!
There is 5 hours of Poe, read by Vincent Price, on Spotify.

Survived the first day! Simultaneously teaching brick and mortar and digital academy kids, wiping everything down throughout the day, going through a quarter of a bottle of antibacterial gel...and the kiddos did amazing. They were all such troopers and made this day better. Now teacher needs another cup of coffee... and some Poe

"And the silken, sad, uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me—filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating
“‘Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door—"
Haha! This really captures my mood this time of year! 😂🖤

When your husband tells you he has never read ‘The Raven‘ and you say, “I have a book, let‘s fix that.” Yep, our morning started with some Edgar Allan Poe...

Celebrating Edgar Allan Poe at the Frazier Museum 🖤
I really loved the notes with A valentine ! Really intrigued.
If anyone is ever curious about why he‘s my favorite, look no further than these beautiful words 🖤 #edgarallanpoe #introduction
Our neighbor Sheri went to the Poe Museum in Richmond, Virginia and got us some Poe swag! ❤️

The Complete Poetry of Edgar Allan Poe will give you a fascinating glimpse into his tragic life. The majority of his poems are interpreted autobiographically: his achievements, his beloved wives, his losses, and ultimately, his unbecoming.
'Quoth The Raven Nevermore' - E.A Poe
Sometimes I Think If I Read 'The Raven' a thousand times in succession.I Believe It will succesfully find a thousand different ways to induce terror & uneasiness, that too with relative ease.
When it‘s May 15th and you realize you still haven‘t changed your calendar over to the next month....
I was excited to see the Poe-themed spread for May, though! One of my favorite Poe poems.
Day #6 of my 7 days of Poe. One more day left,,,whew. 😓 Took this photo last night, because I‘m currently standing in line to meet the guys of Blue October (and a concert afterwards). 😁 This is ‘The Complete Poetical Works of Edgar Allan Poe‘ (1909)... R. Brimley Johnson/Oxford Edition. One of my favorites, because for 100+ years old, it‘s still in near mint condition. 🤗
1. Lighters. I don't smoke, I just collect them for the beautiful designs.
2. Almost always a naked book. Book sleeves don't bother me that much, but dust jackets are one of my pet peeves while reading. So they come off when i start a book.
3. Usually buy them, library, libby/overdrive app, borrow from my mom, etc. I get my books from everywhere 😄
1. Black, red, periwinkle
2. Fall 🍁🍂🍁
3. Horror, mystery, classics
4. Podcasting! Yoga!
5. I love alllll foods. . . ♡♡♡
6. Tea! Flavored water! Hot Chocolate!
7. I own an Edgar Allan Poe tote!
