Last night was my first Aphabet Soup program at the library! It's a tween and teen LGBTQ group that I started! Here are some of the books I talked about and set out for them to discover. By the end of the night they were mostly all checked out! 😃💕📚#librarylove #librariansoflitsy
Book #53: This queer YA book made me very homesick for when I lived in Atlanta!
❤Tagged book and author are both AMAZING. 🌈

I‘ve started to dabble with flatlaying books and I decided to start a “bookstagram” because for as much as I consider myself a reader, I also like to think I‘m a collector; I have so many beautiful books that I‘d like to show to others who would also appreciate them 💕 Feel free to add me, @ rosedustedpages on IG / I cant promise I‘m any good at all, but I‘ll certainly have fun trying 🥰
Joanna is out and proud about being a lesbian until her dad remarries and moves them to a small town in Georgia. They ask Jo not to tell anyone that she is gay for the fear of what her new stepmothers parents may say. She agrees but that is until she meets Mary Carlson. She realizes that keeping her promise is going to become very hard! I loved how in the end her parents and all her friends were accepted her who who she was!
I started reading this morning before a new-to-us church bbq. we are SO not church people but this church is reaching out to the queer community and one of M‘s card-playing friends and her wife are very involved, so we‘re going to try it out. And I think I volunteered to help watching kiddos in the nursery during services?
Anyway, I‘m loving this book, and Mary Carson especially.
Is this what it‘s like for straight people to read romance novels? This book was so much more awesome than I thought it would be, the plot developed beyond where I thought it would go which made this book SO much better!! #lesbian #queereeads
This was touching and fun. It may be a tiny bit problematic since the premise is a queer girl being told go back in the closet for a year (though it is also pointed out that this is very wrong). But the overall message about acceptance and being true to you is good. And the romance is super cute.
This link was shared with a geek group that I belong to in Austin. The creator of the site is a friend of someone in the group and she thought that we‘d like knowing about this database. I thought I‘d share it here. I recommend reading the disclaimer because it‘s gives important information about what‘s included and how to use the database. http://queercomicsdatabase.com
This one was interesting. Some good queer girl love, but the premise was kind of absurd (a girl has to go back into the closet despite an accepting radio evangelist father...to appease his mother-in-law? Sort of?) But it has some really cute and indulgently cringey moments. Worth reading.
@HOTPock3tt some cuter, queer women YA. I know Nina LaCour is worth reading (You Know Me Well is some good stuff) and I'm about to start Georgia Peaches and Other Forbidden Fruit myself. Just for some more recommendations.
I love a snow day! This was the third book I was able to finish up today. I am not a person of faith, so this wasn‘t a book I would typically read or enjoy, but I‘m so very glad that this message of love and acceptance is out there for people of faith who are struggling with their own sexuality, or to accept someone in their lives who is different. I grew up in a small town near this giant peach.
Finally finished this one on my road trip. Adorbs. I loved loved loved this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sorry, just currently obsessed with my food and this book. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Cooking and starving. Anyone else snack while they make dinner? 🤷🏻♀️
Things I'd like to do today:
Stay right here and finish this book
Go to the gym
Eat snacks and drink coffee
Things I have to do today: everything else.
I adore this gorgeous weather. 🖤

The pressure is off! 🙌🏼
This book is adorable and I can't put it down. Two dogs are destroying my house and I'm all, "Glad you two are having fun. Can you go destroy the other couch? I'm reading on this one. Thanks."
LOVED reading Jo's tale of moving to a small town, BACK into the closet (?!), and finally finding love.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just cracked this one open (which I'm loving so far) and I realized it also fits today's prompt (Small Towns) for the #BeastsGiveawayChallenge ! If you want to play, post your Small Town book with the hashtag, or scroll down in my feed to see upcoming prompts!
Finished this ebook in fairly quick fashion although it wasn't a short book. I found myself swiftly drawn into Joanna's world which became oh so complicated after she made a hard-to-keep promise to her father. Read for the @bookriot #readharderchallenge and the #litsybingo challenge. 4/5⭐️
Both on sale today for $1.99 💸 I heard about Georgia Peaches on the All the Books podcast (I think?) and immediately added it to my #TBR. It will fit for the YA/MG book by LGBTQ+ author for the #readharder challenge. #ebookdeals #kindle
If you give a girl a library card...
🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Dont mind the hot pink towel. I keep it in the car just in case for Bailey girl.
I really liked this one and all the characters. It's sweet and cute. I did feel like a lot of the conflict could have been easily taken care of just by talking, but it didn't bother me. 3rd book of the month, I just may be able to catch up to my goodreads challenge if I keep this pace up.
SUPER SALE ALERT!

I love the voice in this book so far! I can't wait to spend more time diving in this weekend. ❤📚
I get to be part of a reading with these three lovely authors at #outwrite2017! I'm so excited, and their books are high on my TBR, so I've read them before the festival. 😍
What books are y'all excited for this weekend?
#diverseladybookproject
I didn't know how much I needed this book until I started reading it. ♡♡♡

What's sweeter than a Georgia Peach? 😉
I just read this for #readharder2017. It was a cute story - a little too "preachy" YA for me but it is a YA book with a good message.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️While cleaning out my mom's home, we found that she had written out her funeral arrangements. My fiercely devout, old-school Southern Baptist mama (who has never been north of the Mason Dixon line) instructed that her best friend for the past 55 years, who happens to be gay, sit with the family at her funeral. Like literally, that's her last written request. That is how she has defined Christianity to me.
Coffee time 👍☕️💆
I gobbled up this angsty YA rom com. Read it all in a day. I loved the characters. It is a wee bit overly optimistic, but that was exactly what I was hoping to find. Particularly loved the emphasis on making room for people of queer identities within spaces of faith. Personal mission of mine.
I really hope the author has plans to write more about the other characters in this "world."
Lastly, made me miss Georgia.

This book is a visceral reminder of not just how high school is the worst, but that blended families are also the worst and that high school and blended families simultaneously might as well be hell on Earth.
Gonna hold on to the light in the world via light and adorable YA, or at least that's the plan. We'll see how it goes.
