It's getting to be that time of year when seniors are dropping off grad photos...and today this lovely mug from a student I taught for one semester. This is a kid who was sitting in my regular grade 10 class and was so clearly smarter than me that I did everything in my power to push him into AP English...which he did. ❤️

I finally officially finished this trilogy 😊 I thoroughly enjoyed it and I‘m sure I‘ll continue to reread in the years to come. There were some plot twists near the end that I didn‘t see coming and like most dystopian stories the ending was ambiguous, but that makes it all the more enjoyable. I will fondly think of Cia and Tomas as I go about my life and look forward to the adaptation movie or tv series Netflix will be producing 😊

This is the longest I‘ve ever been away from Litsy. You may not have missed me but boy have I missed you all! It‘s been graduation time at my house and I haven‘t had time to even think about reading. It‘s been a good time though- now I‘m ready to get back at it. Time to catch up on some #Booked2019. Hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!! 💕💕💕💕

As the third and final book in the Testing series I expected a lot more. I loved the plot twist of Symon leading the rebels with bad intentions, but the ending is horrible. It would've been so much better if Dr. Barnes was right about President Collindar. I love the concept of The Testing series but it could've been executed a lot better.

One more pic from the hubby's graduation yesterday! This is our 3 year old nephew, Caleb. He was super excited to watch his Bubba! (Those are the hubby's Veteran cords that he is wearing. They honored all of the graduating Vet's by name and rank, and they got a standing ovation)

Part 2 of added to my Kindle today! Tell me what's good or bad/ideas suggestions anything

alisonrose In the Time of the Butterflies is one of my all time faves!! 8y
Cortg I read this over the summer. His books are funny and read more like fiction but with lots of interesting facts spread throughout. I'm fascinated with people that hike the Appalachian Trail. 8y
maximoffs @Cortg I just hiked 12 miles of it for my training camp so my interest is peaked hahaha thank you! And thank you @alisonrose 8y

Cortg @steverogers Awesome! You'll probably really enjoy the book. My son's backpacked some of it with his scout troop & mentioned over the summer that he'd like to hike the whole trail someday. I've only done a couple miles of it for a park quest activity. 8y
maximoffs @Cortg good for him! Yeah that 12 miles broke so much of me I don't think I ever want to do the whole thing 😂😂 8y
KVanRead Another vote for A Walk in the Woods and of course Hitchiker's Guide. 8y

Alright, I'm going to be completely honest. I really enjoyed this one. I cried when Zeen died, which crushed my heart. I wasn't completely satisfied with the ending, just because of Cia's decision to return to Tosu City, but otherwise it was pretty good.

BookFreakOut I liked that she went back just because it shows her willingness to step up and recognize that the work isn't done after a coup. Not romantic, but more realistic. 8y
ravenboysandbooks I do see what you mean. I can understand why you liked it. @BookFreakOut 8y
